I'll definitely checking it out next week, but right now my car fishtailed twice going all of two miles to a Checker's... otherwise I'd have already caught a showing.
So it's got a 90% on RT with some really great reviews, I wonder if this board's consensus will be similar.

I'm seeing it tomorrow afternoon. I really hope I dig it. I'm ready for this to be one of the better action franchises of the decade, especially since it's an original property and doesn't have anything to do with comics or lightsabers.

It's pretty damn crazy. Everything that was great about the first one is amplified to the max, and the new characters are just as fun and entertaining as the returning ones. I especially loved Wick's interactions with Common's character. Complaints would be that there's a certain magic and novelty to the first one that doesn't quite bleed over into this, and the Raid 2 influence is a little too obvious. Trying to redo Hammer Girl from that movie with the awful Ruby Rose in this movie is a choice I can't fathom. At first, I wasn't crazy about the ending, but it's slowly growing on me, especially with the other interpretations I've been hearing.

Saw it last night. I don't think it's quite as great as the first film, but it's still a corker, and I absolutely love the mythology and world-building. If I had a real complaint, it's probably how John Wick was able to walk away from the opening scene. I know he's a near-superhuman badass, but come on, he got walloped by car-fu a couple times. It stretched my suspension of disbelief a little too much for me. But once that sequence was done, the film got back on track. McShane was MVP and if he doesn't make my supporting actor lineup by year's end, it's because there's an embarrassment of riches coming down the pike.

Saw it on Friday. Really enjoyed it. Had to be one of the loudest movies I've ever seen in theaters lol. They sure doubled down on the action and I wasn't bored with it at all.
I gotta say though that I liked the 1st one just a bit better .
John Wick (8.5/10)
Chapter 2 (8/10)

I thought it was awesome and I love what the ending sets up. I also thought it was amusing that Stormare is supposedly set up as the villain in the beginning but then that scene subverts the expectation (not a spoiler btw).

I did. If you liked the first, you'll definitely like this one as well. I thought it was even better than the first one honestly. Everything is notched up to 11. They also go into much more detail of the whole assassination ring, which is cool. The ending is badass too.

I prefer the first one but it's still a great deal of fun.

lovely sense of aesthetics. great stuff. better than the first for me, although perhaps worse as an action film. definitely joins the Edge of Tomorrow, Batman v Superman, Hardcore Henry tier pantheon.

Liked it much more than the first one. I can see this sticking in my top 10 at the end of the year.
