8. Raul Ruiz (Time Regained) Your other mentions are grat aswell but Ruiz needs a special shoutout because he's so unknown. I must admit though that I've still not seen anything from Sono, Jancso and Angelopoulos. I'll try to do so before the year finishes though.

Yeah, it's sad how Ruiz is such an unknown and underappreciated director. His style is one of the most unique and interesting I've seen from a director that it's a shame that not many cinefiles know his work. I really like your 10 favorite directors as well, Hitchcock and Herzog would be in my top 20.
