Wow, we really dropped the ball on those winners. Well, if YOU say that, then you know for sure they were grrrreat! 🤣 An EXCELLENT group of winners. Definitely way more satisfied with the winners than I was with the nominees. Kudos to us for picking the greatest film of its year for 2 AMARAs ceremonies in a row now (FARGO for '96 and now HEAT for '95). Considering '94 is next, I'm pretty damn certain the streak will be extended to 3 in a row. Overall, of the main 8 categories, the only winner I really can't get behind is Kidman's annoying cartoon in TO DIE FOR (literally ANY of the other nominees would have been better). I voted for the winner in BP, BD, Lead Actor, Supporting Actor, and A. Screenplay. While I voted differently for S. Actress and O. Screenplay, still a fan of the winners in those categories (especially the latter).

All of my choices were for movies where the nomination was the reward. Whisper of the Heart, Underground for director, Love in the Time of Twilight for actress and original screenplay, Ghost in the shell for adapted screenplay, The City of Lost Children for production design and score. So I'm definitely not unhappy with what we got.
