But the amount to logic we’d have to bend to get Jorah up to The Wall and get him to leave Dany’s side right before [the events in the finale] … there’s no way to do that blithely. And Jorah should have the noble death he craves defending the woman he loves.
So... they're cool with all the logic bending otherwise, BUT THIS IS TOO FAr!!!!!!!111!!!1!!!
Hopefully Cersei will be killed by Jaime (maybe when Dani arrives to take King's Landing). I think the writers have gone as far as they can with her character. She has officially become the Mad Queen, the prophecy surrounding her children has been fulfilled, and the only thing left is for her to be taken down.
They better not drag out her fall from grace into the final season, considering we only have 13 (?) episodes left, there's already going to be too much to deal with for her to get a meaningful death.
I'd totally rather her get a death of the Season huge moment in the upcoming Season than have her be an end of the show after thought when people will probably be dying left right and centre. Although who knows, maybe she'll win the Game of Thrones, she did say very early on that she was playing to win.

So, not that the show is over, where does it rank for you among your favourite TV shows?
If we're considering a loose heading of Drama, it would still be somewhere in the 16 - 20 region for me. If we combined in Comedy, Animation and Others, then I think it would struggle to hit my Top 30 anymore.
Show probably hovers around the #10-15 range for me. Those first 4 seasons are possibly top 5 level, and there were enough great moments/episodes in later seasons to stop it dropping completely off the map.
Best: 1. "I learned how to die a long time ago." 2. Jaime's bathtub confession. 3. "I will be your champion." 4. Varys' wizard in a box. 5. "A very small man can cast a very large shadow." 6. Robert and Cersei discuss their marriage. 7. "I'm gonna have to eat every fucking chicken in this room." 8. Melisandre meets Beric and Thoros. 9. Theon's baptism. 10. Tyrion's trial. 11. Yoren tells Arya his story. 12. "My real father died in King's Landing." 13. Robert, Jaime, and Barristan tell war stories. 14. Ned and Jaime in the throne room. 15. Maester Aemon’s “Death of duty” speech. 16. Jaime's "So many vows" monologue. 17. Tywin's introduction. 18. "Any man who must say 'I am the King' is no true king." 19. Ned's arrest in the throne room. 20. Tyrion's plot to marry Myrcella. 21. Barristan quits the Kingsguard. 22. "There's no cure for being a cunt." 23. Jaime and Brienne meet Roose Bolton. 24. Tywin and Olenna's battle of wits. 25. Tywin and Joffrey in the throne room. 26. "Chaos is a ladder." 27. Catelyn tells Talisa about her broken promise to the gods. 28. Jon gives Arya needle. 29. Tywin refuses to give Tyrion Casterly Rock. 30. "You don't fight with honor." - "No. He did."

Just finished The Bells. There's nothing wrong with the logic of Dany's arc up to this point. Fight me. The signs have always been there. She was always going to be the Mad Queen, her stans just ignored the signs.
Having never written in this thread before I just want to write a bit about the last season.
It's weird one for me beacause I think there's a lot of really good stuff in the season. Apart from the after the jump in the final episode, I didn't really dislike anything particularly as stand alone episodes. Add to that, the second episode is right up there with some of my favorite episodes of the series. However, if I put the season in context and regard it as for what it is - the conclusion to the series - all the sudden it just completely falls apart for me.
It's mostly the third episode that poses the problem for me (or maybe it's just that I stopped really caring after that, I don't know). As a stand-alone 75 minutes piece of entertainment I thought it was quite great - as a resolution to what was one of the most important storylines of the series it's, well, terrible. It might just be my least favorite episode of any show ever.
I will say this, I do not think the conclusion to the Iron Throne storyline is that bad nor do I think Dany turning into the Mad Queen is illogical. Actually, for me, I am quite okay with much of what happens after the third episode and I do think it could have been a lot better with a couple of more episodes.
Despite the last season I still think the show as a whole is quite incredible.

Daenerys going nuts makes perfect sense, it's the ridiculously contrived way we got to that point that rubs me wrong. But honestly, as terribly handled as it was, there're at least 20 things I disliked much more in the final season.
