I was surprising... fine with the ending.
The first 40 minutes were great. It starts to unravel after the time jump. Again, it's a symptom of the rushed season. They could have used an entire episode after this point to deal with the aftermath.
We needed more background how all the lords of Westeros ended up at KL. What did they think of sending the heir to the Iron Throne to the Wall? Why didn't Grey Worm execute Jon right away? Why did he accept that fate? Now that the Starks essentially rule Westeros, can't they pardon Jon and bring him back any time? It's disappointing that the most boring character on the show ends up on the Iron Throne.
They didn't stick the landing, but the journey was excellent. It was a great ride.
For the people saying it's the worst finale of all time, what did you expect?

And with that, it's over. Couldn't have dreamed up a dumber ending if I tried. At least it was bad in a way that made several parts of the episode really funny, which is more entertainment than I got out of the rest of the season. I...don't know what else to say

Just when i thought it was going well and good, 'that' happened. Again the writing was rushed and felt like it was trying to get over. Would've been a whole lot of worse but glad it didn't. I guess the take away is 'You cannot escape the past. You are who you are?"
Sansa seems to be the only one evolved in the show. Wasn't expecting that kind of ending for Jon but i take it.
The final look of Bran is kinda bugging me. Is he hiding something? For a person who didn't care for all these things he seemed like he was totally comfortable with how things have happened.
I'm a little a disappointed overall but i was angry a day ago. So i guess this is the best i could ask for. Anyway this show has provided so much entertainment for the past 9 years. Still a good show in my books but it could've been great.
And now our watch is ended.

Something along the lines of worst finale of all time, I guess. Those expectations did considerably soften the blow of the insanity I just witnessed, but it didn't make the episode any better.

Grey Worm and the Unsullied are killing every captured Lannister soldier, but they don't instantly execute Jon?
Huh?

My God, that was so fucking bad LMAO This whole season was a true mixed bag, some very well-directed but poorly-written episodes, some episodes that were just pure trash. This finale belongs in the latter category. It suffered from the same illness that many series finales have: having a first act, a thir act, but no second act. First half is a lackluster conclusion of the King's Landing battle, the second was a lackluster compiled of scenes finishing some storylines. The political game, the plot and anything remotely interesting was solely ignored, it just happened off-scene. This episode was so bad that I couldn't even enjoy my predicted/wished endings coming true: Sansa reigning on a free North, Jon Snow on the wall, Arya being a bad-ass running wild and free . Ugh.

Do we think the finale will be titled 'A Song of Ice and Fire'? I thought that’s what they’d call “The Long Night” instead because, you know, that’s what it looked like, literally a visual representation of that title so it would’ve been perfect. I think most have anticipated the finale to be called “A Dream of Spring” which would seem fitting, but at this point even their tilting of episodes has been so dumb that I don’t even expect a good one for the finale. They’ll probably call it “The Iron Throne” or some shit. Well, at least one of my predictions was right lmaoooo

Okay in all seriousness, what the fuck did Bran do all season? I’m not saying making Bran king is an inherently bad choice but it would’ve been way more impactful if he had been given something to do. And I’m not really sure how Bran is so qualified that he was voted in unanimously.
Also, I was kinda confused on how Jon was so quickly implicated in Daenerys’ death when Drogon flew her body away. Like they actually seemed to know that he stabbed her in the heart. Where is her body now? Did they find it? Did Jon just confess immediately? Did Greyworm put in some expert detective work during the time jump.
Yeah, it was okay, like a lot of people said, it started out strong, including great acting from Peter Dinklage, but once the time jump happens, it becomes boring and so many decisions and plot developments didn’t make much sense.

They could have used a whole episode to deal with the aftermath. Like the rest of the season, it was rushed which caused some problems. George probably said Bran ends up on the Iron Throne but had no other details. He's been a waste the past few seasons. If they actually gave him something to do, it would have been more satisfying. Show why his powers are so important. Instead, he's just been... around.

My play by play thoughts. •Tyrion has a loooong walk from the front gate to the Red Keep, does he have the lung capacity?
•Weird that Grey Worm knows Dany's orders, Jon thinks that's weird too. Eh let em execute juscuz it's fine. Whaaaa!?
•Jon goes to meet Dany, but Grey-Wurgler is there, must've gotten the Arya training VHS.
•oopp there's Tyrion he must've borrowed it from Grey Worm
•Tyrion stands up to Dany, hey look a good scene
•Jon must not speak Dothraki, cause he seems to think the war is done.
•Jon: I won't justify what just happened. Yet he does in the very same conversation..... hmm
•Jon kills Dany in what is another good scene.
•Dragon fakeout, burns only the throne. Seems to have thoughts of his own "This throne of a thousand swords seems to be poisoning these puny brains. I know what I have to do."
•Jon's beard grows to show that time has past
•Wait, Jon's in prison!? How'd they know he killed her? There isn't a body, the dragon took it.
•Oh neat Democracy, wait for it they're all gonna start laughing... there it is
•How come nobody is saying Jon Snow!!!!! Tyrion wanted him to be King that's what he fucking told him to do while he was in prison.
•Fucking Bran!! (My theory for two seasons was that Bran was The Night King which was obviously wrong) so I make joke about the Night King being on the throne).
•He hasn't done shit all season!!!
•Wait did I just hear that right? Did Tyrion say that him being pushed out of a tower and surviving was a reason he should be appointed. Whaaaa!?
•He accepts!? He declined to be Lord of Winterfell earlier this season! And now he's all it's why I fucking rolled all the way here ya little twerp. Whaaaaaa!?
•Arya: what's West of Westoros, where all the maps end. I'm going to go there. That doesn't mean anything did Weiss & Benioff play Boggle and that's how he wrote this. Also she wants to be Magellan, I hope there's an extra scene where she stumbles upon modern-day America in her travels.
•EVERYTHING ABOUT THE MEETING WITH THE KING THE HAND AND THE MASTERS WAS A HEAP LOAD OF GARBAGE.
•Jon goes to the wall and Rose Leslie is there!!! My head would hurt and ultimately I would hate it but in that exact moment my feels would soar for Jon because to me that's his love not Dany, nothing with there relationship arc stuck the landing.
•Ope, MONTAGE! Queen of the North is cool.
•at least Ramin Djiwadi brought it.
•So why did the Lorf of Lights bring Jon back? To distract a dragon while Arya used a combo move of Quick Speed and Sneak Attack to kill The Night King? Hmm doesn't seem worth it.

No one comes remotely close to Jason Momoa, but let's mention a few also rans.
Richard Madden Iwan Rheon
Joe Dempsie Michiel Huisman Pilou Asbæk
Daniel Portman
Kit Harrington, shirtless in episode one would be a definite contender, but that one scene was the only time I found him hot, so he's bumped.
Also, Jacob Anderson is sexy as hell in real life, but as Grey Worm... .
