I saw this available online and finally got around to checking it out. Man was it bad though, I can see why he tried to erase it from existence. It's pretty interesting seeing Kubrick's first film though and comparing it to what he was able to do in the future.
Thematically though, in theory, it was pretty interesting. At least the beginning sets you up for thinking its going to be a cool character study about the mental state in general wartime, but it fizzles out very quickly. Anyone seen it? Thoughts?

Very amateuristic indeed, but even then I can see some elements of Kubrick's future brilliance. Definetly not a very enjoyable watch tho, and it feels more like a student film than anything. Still interesting to see Kubrick in his early years.

This is actually pretty okay if you remove Paul Mazursky and his whole subplot.
