Thoughts on the acting placements? Everyone supporting or, say, Bankhead and Hodiak lead?
Great overall ensemble piece.

Great overall ensemble piece. All supporting. Bankhead's my win, Bendix my runner-up.

Great overall ensemble piece. All supporting. Bankhead's my win, Bendix my runner-up. I can see them both staying as my wins or at least in my lineups by the time I've watched a lot more from that year.

Looking at my line-ups, I guess I have Bankhead as lead, and the rest as supporting, but thinking about it now, I'd probably consider them all supporting. Slezak, Hodiak, and Bendix are all in my top five though. Great ensemble, and while not the most engaging of Hitchcock's films, there's still a lot to admire about it.

Great film though. Leave it to Hitchcock to make a film only set on a lifeboat engaging.
