I give around 8/10s or higher to:
The Love Witch Neon Bull* Things to Come The Childhood of a Leader* The Fits* Kicks* Little Men Divines The Innocents*
Starred ones are somewhere in my top 20. What are your favorites do you almost never see talked about?

Yeah you're the only one here I've really seen talk about The Innocents (you and I have discussed it a couple of times before), and the only one I know who loves it as much as I do (obviously a lot more than me if it's your #1). Kinda strange since it's the type of film this board would love, but I supposed in the future, more people will discover it. Also, I think you would dig Neon Bull and The Fits. But anyway, I've never heard of A Bride For Rip Van Winkle and the premise sounds pretty intriguing. Also I remember wanting to see Graduation after hearing about it at Cannes, and completely forgot about it til now, so thanks for the reminder.

I seriously love this film and am sad that it hasn't gathered more fans, I always expected a lot of very vocal detractors but thought it would be more divisive and less disliked. Yes, it's shallow and vulgar but that's the point. It's a brilliant depiction of chaos and a descent into anarchy, the underlying feeling that there's something a little more sinister at the back of every conversation and social interaction which will only take a spark to turn into full madness is excellently done. I can see the argument that Ben Wheatley perhaps over glamorises everything however I think that juxtaposition was necessary to show the disparity between the classes in the high-rise, as well as show just how far the drop is when it all comes crashing down. And the production design is incredible to be honest, every floor and room of the building was meticulously designed. The ensemble are all working at a really high level too.

The Wailing is masterful and perhaps the best horror film of the decade. But I feel like I'm the only person who's been talking about it.

Well, I definitely agree about Things to Come (#8) and The Innocents (#15). I also quite enjoyed The Fits, but I found Little Men overrated by the few who have recommended it and I hated The Childhood of a Leader, haha.
I definitely think my #19, The Eyes of My Mother deserves a lot more attention. Also The Treasure is pretty good!

I feel like not enough people are mentioning The Handmaiden on their top 10s of the year and I think there is no way people could watch it and not have it there, so it must be overlooked

It's the only 10/10 I gave to 2016 movie and I don't think anything I have left to watch will top it. What a magical movie and both actresses are so good in it, better than most if not all who actually got Oscar nominated this year

harlequinade yeah it's my #5 and I didn't put it on the list because it's pretty well received (especially around here), but more people do need to see it, I agree. ScarletDubois

There's a bunch of stuff that not that many people have seen, like Aquarius, but as far as *extremely* over-looked goes, I think Blue Jay is the only one.

The Girl with All the Gifts, I'm not sure if it is a 2016 release everywhere, but considering the extremely commercial genre with a nice twist, it is surprising that it didn't do 3 million at the world box office.

Desierto.
Immensely suspenseful, sometimes terrifying, straightforward cat-and-mouse thriller wrongfully dismissed as a propaganda movie due to a poorly timed delay in release.
