Oh my god, you guys! New Orleans! Kinda rundown? Yes. A bit seedy in parts? Probably. But Iโve never seen so much personality in one city. I loved it. NOLA is absolutely one of the great cities anywhere. Great people, amazing vibe, INCREDIBLE FOOD. Whereโd you visit? I spent a lot of my time down Frenchman Street which I actually preferred to the more popular Bourbon Street, mainly because there were more locals about.

Around Cafe Du Monde and the local delis, but took some time to wander the different streets (Bourbon, Toulouse, etc.), found this lovely bakery Fudgery (Pralines and Cream ice cream is to die for), and the people and atmosphere were so intoxicating. Iโd love to go back when I get the chance.

People getting sick, store shelves empty, theaters closed, friend moved away, canโt go to theme parks, people losing their goddamned minds like this is gonna be the end of the fucking world, real good for my anxiety when I was getting better (soon it may be easier to get a gun than to get some fucking therapy)...
Seems like a good time for me to finally make my end of the decade lineups.
The only thing I was missing was Portrait of a Lady on Fire, but AMC wouldnโt let me see it. I can always amend it when I do finally see it.

Found a good roleplaying group to game with and had our first (mis)adventure last night. Was fun, but being the new guy in the group is a little hard when I'm playing my character going "I'm not going up the stairs, you guys just shot the two guys guarding the front door in front of cameras, I guarantee there's some guys with their blasters ready upstairs."
Sure enough, there were guys with blasters ready up those stairs.

Unlike pretty much every sporting league in the world, AFL here in Australia is still going ahead, starting tonight. So if you're somehow able to find ways of watching it from other countries, why don't you guys give some Aussie football a go.

It's times like these where we should appreciate this means of social interaction to the fullest. Even before Rona reared it's intrusive head, we still gathered on this website to talk about the thing we absolutely love the most. And because our passion for film is so fierce, whatever transpires during the next couple of months can take a backseat, since we're all a family and we're still able to fully enjoy what makes us most content together. Not everyone has the know how to find a person (or persons) to talk to whilst an unprecedented situation overcomes us in such a drastic way.....but we can, and about everything under the sun too. My prayers are with the effected and to be effected, but there's only so much we can do. Let's hunker down, try to make the best of this and if by some miracle it doesn't last as long as feared, normality will decide to come home. However, "There's a special rung in hell reserved for people who waste good scotch. Seeing as how we may be rapping on the door momentarily...."

Thinking of you, Ryan. These are some surreal times but we're here if you need. Thanks, Cheesecake! Itโs ironic, though. Iโm so used to keeping to myself that I should be primed for this, but now that Iโm actually breaking out of my shell and getting social, I have to confine myself again. And now the person who helped me break past that isnโt easily accessible. I can always text and video chat, but itโs not the same as having her within driving distance. So Iโm just keeping myself busy, getting some projects done, finally catching up on some shows and games I missed, among other things. But itโs nice to always have the board to come back to. It helps a lot.

Well, I moved back to my home state after three years in Los Angeles. The first time Iโll be home for Christmas in three years and I upgraded from a $1570 cockroach apartment with a Craigslist roommate to a $600 house by myself. Ginormous upgrade. I had quite the experience getting to work and thrive in Los Angeles but the cost just got too ridiculous and me with more a writers background, it just wasnโt worth staying even if it means being away from studio life. So, Iโve been taking this time to rewrite one of my screenplays into a full fledged novel. I just passed 110 pages and Iโm almost halfway through. If anyone has any advice or experience with publishing material, feel free! Iโve never gotten an entire book finished before (only scripts) but I really feel like Iโm doing it. No more giving up after three chapters. Hopefully, and I mean HOPEFULLY, this is where I should be and what I should be doing. Iโm only 25 but not getting any younger haha. Update: It has officially been sent to its first publisher. Now, I play the waiting game and anticipate the inevitable rejection. Hey, everyone! Itโs been a while. Yes, that publishing house rejected the novel and two days ago in the midst of all of this chaos and confusion, and losing both of my jobs because thatโs just how it is for everyone these days, I decided to release the novel on Kindle ebook independently in the hopes of making a profit. And then yesterday... I got a second email from a different (and bigger) publishing house that told me they loved my book and wanted to produce it. So Iโve immediately scrapped the ebook plans and am eagerly waiting to sign a contract. Sometimes silver linings come when you least expect them! That said, Iโm still unemployed so thereโs that. But Iโm looking up. Really hope this goes through, so keep me in your thoughts, everyone, and send me your good energy!

I've got ear infection, cannot hear well but I'm afraid go out to hospital cuz there would be bunch of Corona patients there, what should I do! oh gosh what a time to live... Call your doctor, describe your symptoms and get the medicines you'll be told to. Maybe antibiotics if it's a bacterial infection.

They arenโt offering an advance payment and only paying through royalties but they require me to put up a $2900 payment for the cost of production which is a bit ridiculous given they are the ones wanting my book. They are a legit company but this is not a normal offer (almost all should offer advance payments). So, I may go back to my original plan!

Wise decision. The fact that they're asking you for money is a huge red flag and no,it's not a normal offer,it sounds very shady to me.I'd stick with your original plan or look for another publisher.

When I did play D&D, we still played 2nd Edition (lol)... thief and ranger were my jam! ...but oddly enough, my Cleric was probably my longest running character.

I've only played 5th lol ... basically started shortly after 5th was first released and have played regularly ever since.

Working out at home fucking sucks. Yeah Iโve mostly been just doing push-ups pull-ups, and curls/shoulder presses with dumbbells and not much out besides some time on my elliptical. Much different from my regular gym regiment.
