Five-time All-Star F/C Al Horford has agreed to a four-year, $109M deal with the Philadelphia 76ers. That's huge. He was one of the few guys in the league that could give Embiid fits.

Does this mean we're getting a GS/Brooklyn finals next season?

Does this mean we're getting a GS/Brooklyn finals next season? Is Durant not going to be out all of next season? Surely no chance for Brooklyn if so.

Al Horford leaving the Celtics is a worse loss than Kyrie leaving. Kemba is a solid replacement and I feel like heβll have beter chemistry with the young core, which Kyrie struggled with immensely. If Celtics pick up Cousins or Capela, theyβll be a better team next year imo.
Horford is a great pickup for the Sixers and is able to move to his natural position at the four. While saying that, they lost Jimmy and Reddick, which are huge losses. Richardson should be a solid replacement for Jimmy. Not sure how Iβm feeling about their team and if theyβll be better or worse. Horfordβs impact doesnβt show up on the stat sheet, but I feel like weβre going to really start seeing a decline in his play soon.
Brogdon leaving to the Pacers is a huge loss for the Bucks. He was there second best player and most efficient player. Unless Giannis can get a solid jumper and take his play to an even higher level next season, the Bucks are a worse team than last year.
Diangelo to the Warriors has been the biggest surprise. I never seen that coming. I think heβll fit nicely with the Warriors system. Klay can slide to the small forward position. Should help with Curryβs load management too. This helps make them a contender for next year. Them losing Iggy is a huge loss though and Iβm sad to see him go.
Lakers need to sign another star to be a favorite for the championship next year. LeBron and AD wonβt be enough. If they can sign Kawhi, then itβs over for every other team next year. Barring any injuries. If not though, I think this team will dissapoint. Theyβre even starting to miss out on players like Seth Curry and Ariza who would be great fits.
Nets are now my least favorite team in the league. They wonβt make an impact next year with Durant out and will be sixth seed at best, but even when Durant returns Iβm not confident with how the team will work. Durant and Kyrie are both thin skinned players that canβt take media backlash and have been known to buttheads with teammates and have chemistry issues. Kyrie doesnβt seem like he can be content on where he fits in the nba. I think thereβll be locker room issues early into next season.
I think Kawhi signs back with the Raptors on a 1-2 year deal. If not, I think he goes to the Clippers. I canβt see him wanting to join forces with LeBron. It seems like he has that type of mentality where he wants to beat the best, not join the best.

It's crazy to think that KD would leave Golden State, but yet not crazy at the same time. I've heard rumors he doesn't want to be second fiddle to Steph Curry, and I've also heard rumors that he and Kyrie wanted to team up together, it was just not Brooklyn though. Boy, rough time to be a Knicks fan. And hurry up Kawhi! Either you stay in Toronto or you come to LA!

GOAT offseason.
OKC definitely could have gotten a better package for Paul George... guess they're gonna tank and rebuild over the next few years... but there's no guarantee that any of those picks will high in the draft. Westbrick should demand a trade too after getting abandoned in a major way for the second time.
Hyped to watch the Clippers play next season...

Westbrick should demand a trade too after getting abandoned in a major way for the second time. Hyped to watch the Clippers play next season... Best offseason Iβve ever witnessed. The league went from being highly predictable to pretty damn wide open in a matter of one week. So many unexpected signings/trades too. Most of those picks wonβt have much value since a lot of them are unprotected. Theyβre going to be low on the draft board. Thereβs reports (who knows how much we can trust those now) that Raptors were about to trade for George AND Westbrook, with Pascal as the main target. Raptors didnβt want to pull the trade though. If true, that should give Westbrook an even bigger reason to demand a trade. He should demand one anyways cause the front office pretty much showed that his prime years donβt matter. This Clippers team defense is going to be insane. Kawhi, George, and Beverly? God damn. Then they have a high volume scorer off the bench in Lou and capable players in Zubac and Harrell. If they can sign another hustle player who knows their role like Iggy, god damn. I feel like this team will jell really well together, especially under Rivers. Better than the Lakers, which is one of the reasons why I give the Clippers the upper hand and the best chance of winning this upcoming season.

All aboard the Clipper train If those two stay healthy, combine them with Doc Rivers, and at least some of that tremendous squad they built last year... Good luck everyone else. Lakers/Clippers games next year could be pretty bad ass.

Fuck Kawhi!
Wasted the Lakers time. Lakers could've had a plethora of nice role players, but instead have to scrape the bottom of the barrel all because they were waiting for his decision because the free agents they wanted all signed to different teams. Yeah, they got Danny Green, who's a great shooter, but still.

But sure, the battle of LA is going to be super fun. Kawhi/PG vs LeBron/AD. It's going to much better than Lob City vs aging Lakers team a few years ago.

Oh well, the LA games will be exciting now but super expensive.

Cousins and Rondo sign with the Lakers reuniting the Pelicans trio from two years ago.
Westbrook is discussing possible trades with the Thunders GM.
This offseason just keeps getting crazier god damn.

From a trade math perspective, this deal is exactly neutral for both teams, which is fun.

Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwie. CP3 looked mostly washed last season and is always an injury risk........ and even though I've never been a fan of Westbrick (and this will be the last time I ever call him that, lol) I'm actually kind of hyped for this. Westbrook should play power forward though, tbh. Rockets needed to do something to counter the insanity of the offseason thus far... not sure if this was the right thing but it should be entertaining.
