Not watching 'cause I'm still on Season 1, loving it so far!

It's a real shame we're coming down to the final stretch of episodes, but if they can stick the landing on Season 3, it would have a strong case of being the greatest three-season show in TV history.

I can't wait. I just really hope they don't fuck it all up, which is a very real possibility.

I'm so sad that there are just 8 episodes left, but I'm so excited to see how the show concludes.

I hope the hype for this builds up on these boards in the next couple of weeks. It's going to be lit.

Has anybody been paying attention to the reviews? Holy shit they're even better than I could've imagined.

I've checked a couple. Definitely doesn't sound like we're going to be disappointed. If it is somehow, miraculously, even near the level of 2 then it might end up as my favourite show of all time.

Yeah the reviews have been extremely reassuring, as I was a little worried the show would become a mess in its final stretch. So happy to be wrong! If it's anything like S2, it's gonna be fucking insanely good. This and Fargo on at the same time...can't wait.

So let's talk about that season premiere.
Like honestly the fuck...
I've always had polarizing feelings about this show, but I enjoyed this episode way more than most of the previous ones. I think this show continues to improve as it's gradually taken itself less and less seriously as it's progressed. This premiere was fantastic, raising tons of questions to keep us interested, setting the stage for an apocalyptic conclusion, and finding moments for levity. I enjoyed the hell out of it.
So, in regards to that (admittedly mind-fucking) final shot, it should be fun to speculate and mull over some theories for a while. My go-to response is that we're seeing some sort of barren future in which far more people have disappeared -- as in, almost everyone -- though a few, with Nora appropriately included, are still left behind. I think it would be a fittingly tragic end to Nora's character to end up in a circumstance like that; though, if Kevin is attempting to communicate with her, perhaps we are seeing some sort of set-up for the true conclusion that will come later. Anyway, would love to hear others' thoughts to better form my own predictions.

Loved, loved, loved it. I think that S2 was in the all-time top 10 seasons of TV, and if this can match - or potentially surpass - it, then this show will definitely jump further upwards in my favourites list. I loved the start and the choice of song, and the ending was intriguing as fuck.

I didn't love it quite as much as the critics and the people here, but it was still a deliciously stymying experience that had me gnashing at the bit to watch more. I do get the sense it will be an episode that fits best when seen with the season in full in hindsight, though.

Yay, a Nora episode! This episode really reaffirms the case for this show being the most unique on TV -- what other currently-airing series follows up an emotionally-charged exchange between former adversaries regarding the tragic loss of their children with a fun trampoline romp along to some Wu-Tang Clan? Nora's story was solid -- and I think I have an idea as to how it may eventually lead her to the point we saw at the end of the premiere -- though I feel like we didn't get an episode's worth of material out of it. This episode also almost lost me with the Australia-set conclusion (really felt like it should have been the opener for next week), but it was a sufficient set-up for Kevin Sr.'s story next week and the ramifications of the Kevin Bible.

I'm starting to feel like this season is not going to be anywhere near as good as season 2.

Carrie Coon episode = fucking amazing episode.
This wasn't quite as amazing as 'Guest' back in S1, but it was still an extremely powerful, fascinating hour. Nora is possibly the most complex, layered character on TV right, and Coon's is definitely my favourite performance. It was also great to see Regina King back, and that trampoline sequence was great. I'm also really liking these Australia-set conclusions, confounding though they may be. Lindsay Duncan!
Also, is that new opening a one-time thing because of the sitcom character, or is it just the new intro? Because no thanks.

Intrigued to see where the season goes from here. There's a ridiculous amount of Kevins.

Carrie Coon's got one hell of an Emmy tape, but after she and Regina King got snubbed for their The Master-esque processing episode last year, I think she'll get screwed once again.
Still, loved seeing Mark Linn-Baker pop up again, and Lindsay Duncan is always welcome.

I've never been a fan of Leftovers episodes that focus solely on a character that isn't Matt or Nora. I had also never really cared for Kevin Sr. as a character, mostly because I'd yet to understand his true purpose to the overall story. So I had my doubts going into this episode, needles to say. But, living up to the promise set-up by the first two episodes, this third episode was absolutely fantastic. This was Scott Glenn's time to shine and he didn't waste it. One of my favorite aspects of this show has always been the way it toys with the theme of delusion/perception vs. reality, and this episode as a whole is one of the most fully-realized reflections of that theme that this show has had yet. Also, I couldn't really get myself interested in Lindsay Duncan's character last week, but can we talk about how fucking mesmerizing she was in her big scene at the end of the episode? That conclusion is an all-time great moment of the series for sure.
Season 3 continues to amaze, and that's coming from someone who has never fallen head over heels for this show. The coming attractions for the next episode were off-putting to me, but I'm really hoping that my expectations will once again be subverted and the final season will continue down its current route of quality.
