Watched Mogambo and Harvey tonight and will share my thoughts on both.
Mogambo- I've been trying to watch Ford's many films in other genres besides Westerns. I liked this one. The nature photography was good (nice to see him using his camera skills on something other than the prairie). I also liked the cast, Gable is a legend and has more movie star screen presence than anyone, this was one of Kelly's better performances (I usually find her just okay), and Gardner is always good as the coquette. The scene where Gable "breaks the news" near the end of the movie was hilarious, and a sight gag with a leopard walking through Gardner's tent was both funny and suspenseful. I might've preferred a more melancholy ending, though. It's probably my second favorite Ford behind The Quiet Man, the only of his films I really, really like.
Harvey- Not as much to say about this one. I had big expectations but I thought it was just okay. I liked all the stuff with Stewart but the family and sanitarium staff were really grating. I also thought the message of the ending was a little silly.

Ava Gardner's sole Oscar nomination, unfortunately. She's hilarious in the film.
