I was just thinking about the guy yesterday. To me, he always succeeded in the areas that someone like Joan Rivers never clicked with me. In spite of all the insults and the jabs, and the hysterical razor sharp retorts, you could always tell that there was still such a great sweetness to him, and it was always infectious.
RIP, Mr. Warmth.

A trailblazer in every sense of the word. One of those rare decades-spanning comics who never had a "low" phase. Guy was killing it the whole way through.
