That is a promising - and unexpected - start. Bettany is aces and RotK... well, I can't complain about how pretty it looks, but I think the weightlessness of the CGI was one of the biggest problems with the film. Horses plowing through enemies and elephants stomping on people, it all looked to be in a different dimension from the flesh and blood.

That is a promising - and unexpected - start. Who did you expect to win Supporting Actor? I was thinking that del Toro would take it, but now that I look at the nominees, the category does seem sort of wide open.

That is a promising - and unexpected - start. Who did you expect to win Supporting Actor? I was expecting Benicio del Toro. I haven't seen M&C, but never realized there was love for Bettany in it. Honestly didn't realize Bettany was in it.

Boo. Merry and Pippin are great and all, but the rest of the cast ranges from competent (Astin, McKellen) to very bad (Otto, Wood).
