Excellent lineup there even with overacting Robbins "The vampires Jimmy!!!", a most inspired nod for Sutherland especially.

Hope Davis owned that year with "Secret Lives of Dentists" and "American Splendor". I'm glad she made it for one of them, at least. Underrated actress.
And Kiefer! Yeah!

Sarah Polley is the only big miss here, but I don't think many have seen My Life Without Me so that was a longshot anyways. Otherwise decent lineup. Just not a great year for leading ladies IMO. Kidman all the way

Largely strong choices, though surprised Collette missed out given the level worship so many give to her on this board.

Overjoyed at the lack of the Oscar winning ham sandwich, though disappointed at the lack of Crowe or Lang. Choi for the win.

Halloween month and Angela Bettis couldn't make it for "May"? Urgh... still, a fine line-up though. Especially nice to see Jamie Lee Curtis.

weak year for leading men too. Thornton and Depp are the only greats. Dinklage is good, it's nice to see him here, Murray is pretty alright, Kingsley... alright. Cage, no thanks. Choi... god no. The overacting was strong with Oldboy. Surprised that Law missed, shocked that Crowe missed.

Some excellent choices there, particularly Bong and Weir.

well I hated Big Fish and Oldboy and don't care much for Lost in Translation. But between Master and Commander and ROTK, I'm content.

With 16 nominations, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is the most nominated film in our Past Awards. It surpassed La La Land's 15 nomination haul.

Did you bozos really nominate Tim Robbins for Mystic River? Over Alec Baldwin in The Cooler, Bobby Cannavale in The Station Agent (better than Dinklage) and about 250 better options?

Worst Snubs: Connelly for House of Sand and Fog, Cannavale for The Station Agent, Tom McCarthy for The Station Agent's screenplay, Girl with a Pearl Earring's Cinematography (WTF?) Favorite Nominees: Dinklage and Clarkson for The Station Agent, all the nods for Kill Bill Vol. 1 and Lost in Translation
