IT actually looks great.

It really does. Love the cinematography and Muschietti seems to have a great love for the novel that shows in the wonderful detail he's built into everything. Smart move to keep Skarsgard's Pennywise to the barest minimum in the teaser. Also, how great was saying "You'll float too"?

I just read this. This is something that definitely could have used a remake/re-imagining. Looks great. I'm guessing Part 2 will focus on the adult parts? I wonder how it will tie together.

Amazingly looks like Fukunga camerawork.
Great trailer, though I suppose it was wishful thinking to actually hear Pennywise in the first trailer. Having only seen the original series, and not read the book, is there enough to fill two feature length films?

Amazingly looks like Fukunga camerawork. Great trailer, though I suppose it was wishful thinking to actually hear Pennywise in the first trailer. Having only seen the original series, and not read the book, is there enough to fill two feature length films? There's enough material overall, but considering the first film is purely from the kids' perspective, the adult storyline in the novel is mostly them remembering what happened, reliving each memory, then facing off against It. The stories take place parallel to one another in the novel, with a lot of timeline jumping, so that the big reveals happen simultaneously. With the sequel, they'll likely have to play around somewhat with the adults' storyline to give them more "meat."

Goddamn that was a good trailer. I so desperately want to love this film, being that it's an adaptation of possibly my favourite novel, its my most re-read anyway. This has me majorly hyped for it anyway. I especially liked the lack of Pennywise, you don't need to over expose your villain in a trailer, anticipation is most often its own reward, so hears hoping for more great promotion with the minimum of clown.

Andrés Muschietti did a good job with Mama. The screenplay let him down but the direction was impressive. Judging by this trailer, he looks a great fit.

Looks good, but after Fukunaga's departure, my interest in the film has dropped a bit.

maybe I've become too cynical, but I laughed like mad when the little kid kept shouting "YOU'LL FLOAT TOO. YOU'LL FLOAT TOO."
IT just looks incredibly dumb, like 99% of all horror movies these days.

Okay. So... this is still happening. Okay, I hate to be that guy, but I completely lost interest when Fukunaga left, and now it's just looking like it could be any other piece of jump-scare fodder.
Also, maybe it's cause I haven't read the book, but I don't get what it is about this creepy ass motherfucking clown that kids are attracted to.

Yeah, I hate to say it but I agree with this. And this is coming from someone who used to be primarily a horror fan as far as movies went. A lot of trailers are pretty terrible representations of what a film will be like though, so I still have some hope for this.

WOW. This actually looks fucking good.
I'll admit I was skeptical when Cary Fukunaga dropped out but this was a great trailer and has restored my faith in IT. Can't wait

I honestly was expecting this movie to be trash, but this trailer has given me some hope.

I don't know if horror movie trailers have just made me jaded, but I honestly found that more funny than scary (damn near pissed my pants when the kid hit his head) and It was always one of those King novels that I didn't particularly care for and the miniseries was only notable for Tim Curry imo. I found the adult stuff more interesting, framing the collective fears of the children through their memories. This film seems to be sticking strictly with the kids, so that intrigue is out of it for me. It could very well be good, especially since horror trailers are not at all a strong indicator, but yeah it's not something I'm anticipating in advance.

It looks utter garbage to me. I hate how they've turned the first sighting of Pennywise in the gutter into a jump scare, just poor when compared to the original. Also the amount of articles I've seen comparing it to Stranger Things is pissing me off, since Stranger Things is an IT rip off.

Seems very promising.
Though I hope it avoids relying on the jump-scare tactics so much.
