What do we think about Finley potentially getting the director gig?

I'm extremely skeptical about this project actually becoming a good movie...

I’m 100% in. Gosling has a great pick in projects, especially over the past few years.
Bad Education was a pretty good movie and well directed. I’d be down if Finley came in and directed.

I'm extremely skeptical about this project actually becoming a good movie... Don't be. Gosling is very good at picking projects. Just look at his recent filmography.

Kathryn Bigelow or bust. (Srsly this would be a perfect project for her to return to genre)

It probably won’t happen but a Fincher/Gosling collab would be sublime. If they are aiming for a meticulous, noir type enigma....this pairing would be fabtabulous.

Would rather it be someone else, but oh well. Project still has a lot of promise.

Not going to lie, Whannell seemed to be the better choice.

I believe they're just saving money on makeup by having Cianfrance play Gosling in Wolf mode.

With Whannell at the helm, I had a decent idea of how the Wolfman film would come out, but with Cianfrance, I am VERY intrigued.

Damn I was hoping for Whannell but Cianfrance is an inspiring/interesting choice out of left field. Plus, Cianfrance & Gosling seem to really work well together, Cianfrance got 2 outstanding performances from Gosling already (with Blue Valentine & The Place Beyond the Pines) so this definitely sounds promising. Can't wait to see Gosling as a werewolf!
