Wouldn't surprise me if 1917 started streamrolling the awards now.

Looks like Tarantino will have to settle for his 3rd Screenplay Oscar.

1917 is winning. It's winning DGA and Bafta too.

Dang, so Mendes is really winning his 2nd Best Picture/Director Oscars over Scorsese with 1 and Tarantino with 0.

Looks like Tarantino will have to settle for his 3rd Screenplay Oscar. I can see Parasite or Marriage Story winning screenplay.

Looks like Tarantino will have to settle for his 3rd Screenplay Oscar. I'm hoping that they'll at least give Bong another consolation prize besides Best International Film because I found the screenplay the weakest aspect of OUATIH. Probably unlikely to happen, but I'm still going to believe since all Picture, Director, and the acting categories now seem set. Also I guess in 20 years, we can look forward to Sam Mendes winning BP and BD for a third time. And Colin Firth managed to bookend the decade in Best Picture winners. I don't think he'll be able to do it next year to start the next decade, but who knows, he's got a remake of The Secret Garden which will probably go nowhere, a WWII film directed by John Madden, maybe Madden is the next director that returns after a long time being away, lol, and a film about two partners going on a road trip because one has dementia. The last one doesn't sound like a BP play, well most likely not, but it could be baity for him or Stanley Tucci.

I don't think Tarantino is winning screenplay either.
My guess is 1917 takes picture and director while Parasite settles with screenplay and international feature.

I don't see 1917 winning. It's too simple and hollow for the easily impressed. Moronic.

Have just seen 1917, though the script is not so strong it's still better than Shape of fuckfish and Green Limo, It gets my approval. So Spielberg winning again against Netflix, fuck him Netflix just didnt play the game correctly. They should have given movie proper release then few years later, pull the rug.

Fantastic. 1917 is going to make a great BP winner.

I realize that if I sleep through the proceedings rather than actually staying up for them, I wind up being happier with the results. Go 1917!

It’s 1999 all over again. Great movies in the mix, yet the accolades go to the effectist flavor of the month. It’s like a fuckbuddy, will never change, lel
