For Fosse/Verdon? Was she better than all her Oscar nodded movie peers in 2019?

Oh yes! If FOSSE/VERDON had been released on the big screen, she would have been my 2019 lead actress winner. I think it's her best performance to date.
Oh and Gwen Verdon >>>>>>>>>>>>Judy Garland 😉

pacinoyes don't you find this year's leading category a little bit underwhelming?

pacinoyes don't you find this year's leading category a little bit underwhelming? Yes I did tbh and part of the reason for doing the poll was looking forward to 2020 a bit where you may have it happen again with two heavy hitters - Kidman In The Undoing and Blanchett in Mrs. America - although HBO could hold The Undoing until after the Emmy deadline for 2021. Every once in a while this used to happen, I think it will become more commonplace too now.......

Someday I think they'll just combine film and television awards together, but before that happens, I think there are some performances that would have won Oscars if they had been released for theaters instead of on streaming or television first.
This is definitely one that I think would have won. I would also say Julianne Moore in Game Change was another one. Although I guess Jennifer Lawrence would have been tough to beat as the "it" girl, assuming it would have been released in 2012, but Moore would have been "due" and was playing a very well known American politician. I don't know if Claire Danes could have beat Natalie Portman, but I think that Danes could have won an Oscar with Temple Grandin with the right timing. Or with Grey Gardens, I remember Nathaniel Rogers from The Film Experience predicting Drew Barrymore to win the Oscar, before the news came out that Grey Gardens would premiere on HBO, but I think that she could have won or definitely been nominated had it been a film.
On the men's side, I think that Courtney B. Vance would have at least been nominated for an Oscar. Then going back a few years Al Pacino probably would have ranked up more Oscar nominations, Michael Douglas could have won a second Oscar, and Brendan Gleeson probably would have at least got his first nomination.

I think Pacino would have outright won for Angels in America at least - but Douglas unless I'm remembering it incorrectly would have struggled for the actual win against McConaughey that year - I think those are same year but may be remembering that wrong. He was aces in that role though - performance of his life.....

I mean, I think she's good in the film, but I can't imagine calling this one of her best performances. As I've said elsewhere, I'd rank it last among her nominated performances.

Not only that even her performance in that unremarkable remake of After the Wedding was better than ALL the nominated performances.

well I'm halfway into the series and let's just say if things don't pick up, there's no way she's better than Johansson. The rest I'll give you. Both lead categories this year are pretty piss-poor but Johansson is better for the time being.

As I've said elsewhere, I'd rank it last among her nominated performances. I'd definitely agree with this. Love Saoirse but she was just showing up and doing what she's always done with this project. It's about on par with her performance in Mary Queen of Scots, and it didn't help that the screenplay sidelined her quite a bit and the nonlinear editing undercut some of her better moments.

Tyler, you didn't tell me you had a little brother. And what is that supposed to mean? IIRC, Tyler's name on IMDb was Tyler Jolie Pitt? Or am I just getting that all wrong?
