It was quite surreal watching this as it's an hour-ish from my neck of the woods. I remember watching this play out in real time, as well -- though there was some information I didn't know (and some that was twisted for the doc's drama's sake, I guess). Definitely engrossing but the last scene left a really bad taste in my mouth. Some more scattered thoughts:
- John Green's pronunciation of Etobicoke had me in stitches - I was surprised they didn't make a Psycho correlation with him requesting a blanket in prison - His mom is out to lunch - I'm so glad I never stumbled upon the animal videos back in my early reddit days

Yeah I watched it a while back in one sitting cause I wasn't about to let myself go through the day with this unresolved.
Riveting doc with its priorities in the wrong place. This entire thing serves as its own antithesis. Warning to not give screen time to evil people while treating the murderer as some mythic monster, but completely treating the victims as afterthoughts. Then it tries to blames its watching audience as to why the internet is the way it is in a completely left field topic. This thing is confused, but engrossing

Wonder how close they were, geography-wise.

It is pretty obvious also he was the one who leaked his name. He really did plan this whole thing out right down to finding a lawyer that looked similar to Michael Douglas.
