Okay for Skywalker, considering the doom & gloom it faced beforehand. It'll decrease from Jedi again, but it should do around 185m, give or take. Lol at Cats, that looks to be a bomb for the ages.

Everything about The Rise of Skywalker is so over the place that it's making me restless. Despite the polarising reviews, I feel compelled to see it in theatres. Good preview number in any case. It still has a chance at a $200 million opening.
Just you wait. Cats is gonna have an internal weekend multiplier of 100x ($55 million weekend YEAH) and a 20x final multiplier. $1.1 billion in USA here we come! Meow.

Rise of Skywalker will be a BO hit, as expected, no matter the objections of the audience.
Cats will bomb hard, deservedly so.

I thought the curiosity factor/notoriety of Cats might encourage more people to see it.Clearly not. The RT consensus is such a hoot, and perfectly describes the whole affair. "Despite its fur-midable cast, this Cats adaption is a clawful mistake that will leave most viewers begging to be put out of their own mew-sery."

Rise of Skywalker got a B+ Cinemascore which is bad for franchise finale. Meanwhile Ford v. Ferrari grossed $100m domestic

Decent for Skywalker. It decreased from TLJ, but I could see it having better Christmas legs then that film. Either way Disney should be fine with its performance. Knives Out holding pretty well. Yeah, and with Christmas legs, it has the chance of earning $120 million in US. Fantastic performance for an excellent film.

People who watch Fox News aren't going to watch it, and unless people are interested it because of its Globe nominations or its Oscar chances, I'm not sure that people who hate Fox News are going to be interested in watching it. Unfortunately Theron, Kidman, and Robbie aren't exactly big draws by themselves either although to be fair there's not really many actors that are now.

I could actually see it doing better then Vice, which did 47m despite bad WOM. Considering how much the movie cost (32m), that wouldn't be too bad. It's why I'm not going to write it off just yet, even if its numbers do look bad right now.

Woof at ROS's Saturday increase. WOM must be poor. If things go super wrong this could miss 500m and a billion worldwide. Rise of Skywalker got a B+ Cinemascore which is bad for franchise finale. Meanwhile Ford v. Ferrari grossed $100m domestic Lower than Last Jedi's which was in fact well liked by general audiences outside of vocal internet nerds who were mad their fanfic theories did not make it into the final cut. Glad to see Ford vs. Ferrari get to 100 mil. More star driven mid budget dramas for adults please.

Hopefully in about a couple of months I'll be able to watch it (internet or dvd)... I believe it's a movie you should watch in a theater, due to its sound effects.

LaraQ I'd think so too....But yeah. At least we all know that TRoS is still going to do fine, if not completely invincible, regardless. The Christmas/Holidays week should help. Meeee-ouch for Cats there! 🙀😸
