Peter Dinklage as one of the wet bandits or bust.

The only way possible way I'd see this is if the De Niro, Pacino and Pesci de-aging can work here and be totally convincing enough so that Pacino could play Kevin as an 8 year old.

I want to say that this had already been rebooted before but I also don’t care enough to look it up and now, also, realize this has been the most amount of thought I’ve ever given the Home Alone series.

Why doesn't this surprise me?
Hope it's as successful as the Wet Bandits.

Let me guess, starring The Rock? With Kevin Hart as Kevin and Alec Baldwin as Trump as one of the Wet Bandits.

I really think I can wait for this. Let me guess, starring The Rock? With Kevin Hart as Kevin and Alec Baldwin as Trump as one of the Wet Bandits. Baldwin making a cameo as Trump would admittedly be funny, though

If Kevin Spacey agreed to be a part of this movie without a stunt double, how far would that go to rehabilitate his image?

I’m not really sure a reboot makes sense when at least the first three Home Alones are on Disney+ too. (Maybe they’re all on there, but I know I’ve seen the first three.)
If they brought back the original cast or at least most of them, people might watch out of nostalgia, but I’m not sure why you’d watch a new version without a special hook when the originals are right there.
If they make the Uncle Frank character the true villain that he should been in the original, or have a twist where the lead character’s dad is really a mobster, because really how else do you explain that house, I might watch this version.

These reboots are headline grabbers and that's it. There is no other reason to reboot this movie.

Home Alone 4 was made by Fox who owns the property and aired on ABC, and Home Alone 5 aired on ABC Family, now Freeform, which Disney also owns. I'm pretty sure Disney owns the rights to the other two sequels, though to be fair, I'd be surprised if you wanted to play either, unless you were a parent who was trying to get their kids to pipe down.

They should just do a sequel with Kevin grown up and so traumatized by what he went through that he's roped Fuller into a life of crime, and they are the new wet bandits terrorizing some little kid stuck home alone. Pesci as a reformed Harry should be the movies strange but helpful old person.

Oh I see that Disney is still remaking their classic films. Outstanding This looks even worse than I imagined. The little annoying wanker that was cast as the lead in this isn't even in the same stratosphere as Macaulay Culkin. Culkin was such a likable and gifted child actor that had great comedic timing. The original just can't be topped. I don't think a lot of people these days realize just how big of a box office hit Home Alone was back in the day. It made nearly $500 million at the box office back in 1990. That is flat out insane. Also the two bad guys in this come across as lame as hell. You just can't duplicate the chemistry that Joe Pesci & Daniel Stern had. They were both funny as hell and did a great job playing off each other. Please Disney, do better.
