Not quite yet, but they're going to be livestreamed on a local KTLA station. (Not even nationally, lol, never change BFCA.) Streaming link. I will update this post when they're announced. This is even more of a Super Sunday than usual with these announcing today. I have too many windows open, lol. Sorry their website where they said all the nominations would be listed isn't working of course, so I snagged this off of another person that was writing them all down luckily. I'll fix this once they fix their freaking site. Seven nominees for actress and actor... these guys are a joke. They just want to increase their odds to match the Oscars.

Thomasin McKenzie is 19 years old. What’s the cut off for youth performance?

I think Sandler and Banderas might be stealth threats for the last two slots in Best Actor (assuming Driver, DiCaprio and Phoenix are the top three). De Niro has the film, but those two have the passion... it'll be interesting to see where we go from here.

I'd say it's a solid shortlist to make predictions from.

Man cinematic awards groups just hate awarding Jonathan Pryce I guess, since they did go for Hopkins and Screenplay for The Two Popes, thought he was close to becoming a sure thing given the praise get received from the reviews and the nature of his role.

Nothing for Waves means I don't even get a fantasy sweep for the group that nominates everything. LMAO!

The Farewell is still doing good, but if you would have told me that out of all the A24 films that they have this year that Uncut Gems would do the best of them all, at least so far, I don't know that I would have believed it when they have The Farewell, The Lighthouse, and Waves all of which I thought the critics would go for more.

I still maintain that these folks don't actually count the ballots they receive and that there's a committee or a board or something that puts out these lists.

I know Tom O'Neil started them because of some kind of feud with the Globes.
