No idea what's going on in doc & animated... LA often tries to shake up the race and they vote to do it on purpose - even to the extent that they go against their published reviews (TWBB in 2007) I agree with these picks but I would watch for Dafoe in Supporting here to mess with Pitt a little and Scorsese in director - with all the BS we've had about who is Pitt's challenger (answer again for the billionth time for the trolls is, no one yet at least) we've really not talked about how Scorsese has lost director in Atlanta, NY, and NBR with 2 big picture wins. This is where he gets on the board for director I'm guessing..........

Bong, Scorsese or Tarantino could all end up taking the Oscar imo.

Picture: Marriage Story Director: Bong Joon-hoo, Parasite Actor: Antonio Banderas, Pain & Glory Actress: this one I'm very curious about, could be even something dark like Mary Kay Place... but Scarlett Johansson, Marriage Story Supporting Actor: Willem Dafoe, The Lighthouse Supporting Actress: Laura Dern, Marriage Story Screenplay: The Irishman Documentary: Honeyland Cinematography: Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood Editing: Uncut Gems Animated Feature: I Lost My Body
Sciamma and Almodovar for directing are good calls as well, I just went with Bong, otherwise it would be weird to not predict the movie for something

I'd be kind of shocked if they don't award Best Actress to Adèle Haenel - we know how much they love French actressing!

Perhaps they are waiting until she is 60 so they can then call her the best French actress in the last 30 years which she already is at 30.........it's more dramatic that way though. Grrrrrrr.
