I also do not like this movie (and JGL's character is a fucking moron... AND it has the ever worldly child character who can parlay a lifetime of knowledge to the older fellow, which is a huge pet peeve) but it's far from the worst ever.

I hope it's not, but is it (500) Days of Summer? I thought of this as I was reading the thread because there aren't that many modern romantic comedies that focus more on the man. You have to go back to screwball comedies in the 30's/40's or Woody Allen movies in the 70's for that usually. I have probably seen well over a thousand movies worse than this so consider yourself lucky if it's the worst movie you've ever seen. What was so bad about it?

I, too, would like to know why he hates it so much. I feel like it's mostly harmless and even if you hate where the script goes or the dynamics of the relationship presented, the acting (primarily referring to JGL), soundtrack, and editing should at least be worthy to make it not the worst movie ever right? For me, a 1/10 has to be so dismal on every level of filmmaking that there is nothing of value to even consider.

Never forget that this film won the ICC Award for Best Picture. Correction, A Serious Man actually won that year, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt did with Best Actor. It did get nominated for a ton of stuff, though.

Oh honey, Disgrace of Monaco starring Nicole Kidman?
Although you'll need more than 8 beers or 8 bottles of Tequila to get through it...

The 1 redeeming quality is the soundtrack so maybe I should bump it up to a 2 but I just hated it too much. Idk if I’d outright call it the worst movie ever made but the one I hated the most, hence how I worded the thread title. Almost every other aspect of the movie made me want to vomit and that is not an exaggeration.

It’s definitely give down for me quite a bit from initial viewing but I really love the fantasy vs reality split screen scene. Extremely creative and accurate imo.

Plus it could be that I'm a very forgiving film-goer in that my ratings tend to be 5/10 or greater more often than not and even the films I've disliked the most personally I may (though not always) still give a 2/10 because I liked a performance a lot or the music/editing/production design/etc. was good. So that's likely why I always try to probe further to people's dislike of films lol.
