Thoughts?
She has so much natural charm and verve that translates beautifully to film - I think she was better than Oscar-nominated Julia Roberts in Steel Magnolias (discuss).

She's an absolute delight. I do actually prefer Roberts in Steel Magnolias because the role required a bit more but juuuuust barely (btw talk about a stacked cast), but I love Parton in Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and 9 to 5. Always happy to see her pop up in a thing. Love the big hair, love the accent, love the bubbly personality, love the singing. She's gorgeous inside and out and effortlessly charming and watchable in everything she's in. career highlight: threatening to castrate the handsy boss in 9 to 5

She's compulsively watchable and always steals the show. (Side-note: she's also an incredibly lovely and genuine person in real life.)

Has anyone been to Dollywood?
I was supposed to go with my dad, but since he didn't like big crowds or walking, we didn't go. We did go see Dolly Parton's Stampede though which is like right outside Dollywood. It was fun for what it was. Even though I was annoyed then at not getting to go to Dollywood when I was promised Dollywood, and then having to make a dash for the car right before the show ended because my dad wasn't the type at all to be patient waiting in traffic, or even waiting for the crowd to die down, I did enjoy it because I was surprised that he ended up even going to that.
