Let's do another high stakes technical category!
Please vote for five films you think are gonna get nominated!

As of now my thoughts in order of likelihood are:
1. Little Women - don't see any reason to doubt this one, a flashy period BP contender of the 'costume movie' variety 2. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - the 'turning Hollywood back in time practically' aspect will be a big deal for the voters 3. 1917 - the tech marvel contender of the season, a big war movie, done by a favorite of theirs 4. Jojo Rabbit - another war contender but done in a completely different, more splashy way 5. Cats - even if the movie's a flop, the colorful sets with the size gimmick should do the trick
If Ad Astra gets a campaign, it has a very strong chance here since they love space movies. I have it right behind the top 5.
The Irishman probably has a nice shot too with all its scope.
If they really love Joker, I can see it popping up here. Gotham City has been here before.
Enough hoopla about the practical sets in Parasite can also bump up its chances.

1917 The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Joker Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood
Isn't Cats likely to miss the eligibility deadline?

1. Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood 2. The Irishman 3. Jojo Rabbit 4. 1917 5. Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
Would also be cool to see a sleeper pick like Ad Astra or Parasite make it here, both of which I think are very possible.

I don't know.
1917 - Makes sense as the technical juggernaut. The Irishman - I haven't heard a lot about the techs, but if it's top 3, I think it should make it here. Jojo Rabbit - Maybe because I'm basically meh about the movie, but I wasn't really impressed with the production or costume design, but again period + probably top 5, so it's likely in. Little Women - It always seems like they go with period movies here and in especially for Costume Design. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood - One of the few I'm sure of for this category.
Maybe: Ford v Ferrari Harriet The Two Popes - I don't know how much of the Vatican might be seen, but it might be impressive.
Should be nominated from what films I've seen this year: Ad Astra Parasite
Would be okay with: Dumbo - I don't think Disney is campaigning for this, but the production and costume design were top notch imo. Joker
Please no: Cats - I don't know why the cats look like humans but are small in size compared to their surroundings.

1. 1917 2. The Irishman 3. Once Upon a Time in Hollywood 4. Little Women 5. Cats (the voters have always come through for Hooper in this category, I don't expect that to change even with it screening so late)

Isn't Cats likely to miss the eligibility deadline? I don't think it gets screening until mid-December so it should still be under the wire for the Oscars. It's certain to miss the production/costume design guilds though.

No order:
1917 The Irishman Jojo Rabbit Little Women Once Upon A Time... in Hollywood
My guess is OUATIH will be the winner.
