I don't think anything is going to help Terminator at this point, not even Thanksgiving.Doctor Sleep's numbers are so disappointing,I didn't think it was going to be a massive hit but I thought it would do better than that. The marketing for this has been awful. Looking ahead to this week, I don't know if Last Christmas could reach 100 million, but maybe it could have legs if it's enough of a crowd pleaser. I expect both Midway and Playing With Fire are going to flop. How naive I was just a few days ago about Last Christmas. Usually I tend to like a film if I go in with lowered expectations from critics' scores, but this time I think they might have been too generous. Poor Emilia Clarke, Henry Golding, and Michelle Yeoh, they deserved so much better.

I read a Vanity Fair article that revealed the "twist" and holy shit,I couldn't believe how lame it was.I mean, the trailer hinted at it but I thought there was no way it could be that obvious.

I'll spoiler it for people who don't want to know. I actually thought it would be more of a ghost love story which I would have been okay with even if many people already guessed the twist from the trailer, but instead of being a ghost, he's a figment of her imagination that's more of a life coach than anything. There's some romance, but in the end I felt it was more about the lead character loving herself because her life was a mess because she didn't accept her whole self after her transplant. That could have been an interesting idea in theory, but unfortunately I felt all the characters are all written pretty one dimensionally.
I guess it could be semantics between a ghost and a figment of her imagination, but I believe I'd prefer a straight ghost/angel love story than what Last Christmas did even if it's a story that's been done to death. Instead it reminded me of Joker when the big reveal happens, lol, so I got some unintentional laughs from that. Unfortunately the rest of the movie didn't really have many laughs.

Considering everything else I've read, that makes it sound like it's Collateral Beauty levels of bad plot-twist.

So I guess Ford vs Ferrari will make it. Knives out looks like it will pull it off too.
