It doesn't seem like she's lost a step as a performer, but is she going to get into some more interesting projects at some point? Taylor Sheridan's been doing some good work (Yellowstone on Paramount is very solid TV, etc.), so Those Who Wish Me Dead has some promise, but will she ever be in a first-class prestige movie, acting with other A-listers or a great director?

Angie is a huge star, she was the first woman who could be a action draw outside of franchises and could have been the female Leo who turns mid budget dramas into huge hits. It remains to be seen if she still has that star power, though. All she's done since 2010 is Maleficent, By the Sea, and VO in Kung Fu Panda movies. It looks like she's attempting a comeback after the Pitt divorce. She's got the Maleficent sequel, the Peter Pan thing, that Marvel movie, and a western coming up.

She and Will Smith are the mega movie stars with the worst filmographies. And it isn't looking like they want to make any movies that will be remembered or talked about 20-30 years from now.

Her filmography as an actress -not counting TV or voices- is trully bad, can be reduce to Girl, Interrupted and Wanted. Ok she had a couple of good movies (the bone collector, Challenging, Taking Life Hackers), but the rest is midly entertaining at best, totally awful at worst.-
I haven't seen her filmography as a director.-

I guess she is still a BO draw. I really think she's very talented but her marriage/health issues left her career behind.
I'm pretty sure she'll recover with that Marvel role.

I respect aspects of the Marvel project, and their better films, but whose career has Marvel really benefited? It's made some actors and actresses richer and more famous than they would otherwise be, but hasn't really enhanced their industry clout. Will Downey Jr. go off and do a string of auteur projects in the mold of Robert Pattinson (there were rumors about him being the lead of a PTA film, but that has quieted down some)? Chris Evans now is essentially the same Chris Evans who got cast in Sunshine. Renner had two Oscar nominations and a rising profile before becoming Hawkeye. Scarlett was already a sex symbol and had worked with a number of huge directors before becoming Black Widow. Take Joaquin and the box-office success of Joker. Does that really spill over into the future? Is he getting better gigs in 2022? Are his indie films going to make more money all of a sudden?

And RDJ wasn't the big Hollywood star before the Iron Man. Marvel films helped his career undoubtly. And it's not only Marvel. DC's movies are not that successful but look how they elevated the careers of Cavil and Gadot for example. On the other hand, where has Angelina been for the last 7-8 years? If you don't count Maleficent, she was close to nowhere. The Marvel films can bring her back to the spotlight.

Is how acrimonious and public her split from Brad was a big obstacle, considering how well-liked he is in Hollywood circles? Can she even get a leading role with an A-list director? The O. Russell thing would be a coup, even if he's coming off of a flop.

She's been through a lot in her career and personal life but she can fight back.

So it looks like she turned down the O. Russell thing. Will Smith 2.0 indeed.

It's her birthday, by the way. Oh honey, what is it with these birthdays?! Is it the new thing or something? It's like everyone is having one everyday... Angie doesn't need to be reminded that she's rapidly racing towards death and her career has kind of tanked...

Ouch, Those Who Wish Me Dead sucked, and Eternals is allegedly underwhelming.
