#1 for me would be Bennett Miller who is insanely good with all kinds of actors - he's gotten career bests from a lot of people......I'd actually suggest him for any actor.......

I think a Wes Anderson comedy would be good for him.

The only I got is the aforementioned PTA. Leo turned down Boogie Nights and has expressed some regret over the decision. Gotta make things right, Leo.

These are also the genres I would like to see him in with those directors
Coen Brothers(comedy) Paul Thomas Anderson(drama) Jeremy Saulnier(thriller)
I would recommend Michael Mann for thriller, but he would have to be closer to peak form. Bummed he passed on the Guillermo Del Toro project. Do want to see him do another Scorsese collaboration down the line or a scaled down thriller by Nolan.

As proven by WOWS and OUATIH, he's aces doing crazy comedy, so a Yorgos Lanthimos flick should be great. Lanthimos does this acid humor, but there's also drama and heavier elements, which is something Leo has done but not as crazy and twisted as Yorgos could do.
PTA just because they'll complement each other's intensity. PTA does this bigger scale kind of movies that DiCaprio has proven again and again he can ground.
Then, Noah Baumbach, because he does tiny-scale movies, and I'd love to see DiCaprio act in a movie that doesn't have huge production values and complicated plot. It'd be just so up and close, an intimate performance from him.
And I know it's cheating, but since everyone and their moms will have said PTA, I'll just go ahead and name someone else. As DiCaprio started as this teen girl idol, and has since moved to more masculine-oriented movies (heck, even back then, it's not like his movies were ever *that* female-oriented), I'd like to see him populate Sofia Coppola's highly-feminine universe. I wanna see him as a gay guy having a middle-life crisis in a Coppola flick.

Michael Mann - I mean, they've almost worked together at least 3 times. And at this point, DiCaprio might be the only actor that could get a new Mann film financed.
Coens - Would be interesting to see how they could use him... he'd make an interesting Lew Archer if they ever decide to go forward with The Zebra-Striped Hearse.
Fincher & PTA - Cheating... but both of these just feel inevitable.

Total pipe dreams at this point but a boy can dream right?! I'll even describe the type of project I'd want them to be involved in.
1. David Fincher - I'd kill to see David Fincher direct a film adaptation of the graphic novel Torso. Have Leo play Eliot Ness. Mother of God it would be such a must see film!
2. Darren Aronofsky - At one point, Aronofsky was going to direct Brad Pitt in The Tiger (based on a book by the same name about an unstoppable tiger offing villagers one by one). I think it'd be cool if Aronosky/Leo teamed up for this project. They are both huge environmentalists after all.
3. Taylor Sheridan - Leo would chew up some good Sheridan dialogue in some badass neo noir Western written & directed by Taylor Sheridan imo.
