Three consecutive and iconic Best Supporting Actor villains in the decade. Who’s your favorite?
Having just rewatched the Basterds, I think I might go with Landa.

In terms of characters:
1. Landa 2. Chigurh 3. The Joker
In terms of performances:
1. Waltz 2. Ledger 3. Bardem
The difference among the three in both categories is almost negligible, though. All three are instantly iconic and among the best decisions AMPAS ever made.

"I got here the same way the coin did" all top-10 all-time in the category though

I feel like this question has been posited tons of times before, but it never gets easier to answer. Today I’m feeling Waltz > Bardem > Ledger ... but it’s so, so marginal between them. Three of the very best villain performances ever given, without a doubt.

This is practically a coin toss (heh) between Chigurh and the Joker. I think Ledger's performance is slightly better, but Chigurh is a slightly better character. Landa is fun and memorable, but I rate him a bit below the other two.

Bardem is in a completely different league than either of those guys. He's on my shortlist of perfect performances. Waltz is great, best acting in a Tarantino film without a doubt, and Ledger as the Joker is pretty good but maybe not worthy of sacrificing your firstborn to.

1. Ledger 2. Bardem 3. Waltz
All three are very good, but I think Ledger is a true all timer. Chigurh is the best written character of the three.

The Oscars got all 3 of those Supporting wins right those respective years so kudos to them.
As far as which one is the best, its (imo) Ledger in a landslide.

Too close between Bardem and Waltz really. I guess I give Bardem the slightest of edges.
Ledger is good, but I was never too fussed with him as an actor, and his performance here did nothing to change that.

I have a feeling Ledger will win this.
