How many users on this forum have had multiple polls dedicated to mocking their insanity?
No reason I'm thinking this, just random....

Went to a De Palma double feature today... and in both films someone (possibly the same person both times) started snoring really loudly halfway through the screenings. The unexpected highlight of Carrie was the spontaneous team-up of half a dozen strangers trying to figure out how to wake up the snorer.

So, just sitting here waiting for Rise of Skywalker tickets to go live. So...
How are ya’ll doing? How goes the day?
Me? Well, it’s getting down to the last few days of HHN, so I’ve been hitting that pretty hard recently. The Stranger Things house is sweet, but there’s one that’s like an Alien house in all but name, and it’s incredible.
I’ve also had a real hankering for these Walmart brand cheese puffs recently. Maybe not the most healthy snack, but they’re yummy.
Me and my tangents. Share some of yours.

A couple of Aussie grievances:
The Lighthouse still doesn't have a release date here which is torturous.
We somehow managed to get Parasite in cinemas at the end of June but now we have to wait until fucking February for it to drop on Blu Ray/DVD.
It's like half way through Spring and it's already on and off again with the annoying hot weather.
JLo in Hustlers was right, how are you supposed to get retail experience when every place already wants retail experience.
Outside of all that, life here in Australia is as good as always.

I know this isn't the best place for legal advice but thought I'd ask, can I call the cops on some dude in my neighborhood just laying on his horn in his car for the last half an hour for seemingly no fucking reason?
Edit: It stopped. Thank fucking Christ.

So at HHN, one of the shops has a Vigo the Carpathian painting, signed by Sigourney Weaver. Outside of my price range, and I still don’t like Vigo, but it’s so cool.

It recently popped into my head that back in 2015 I told my friend that for her next movie Jennifer Lawrence would be playing a woman in her 40s who invented a mop. He asked me what else happened in the movie and I told him that that was it, she made a mop and got rich, and now they were stretching that into 2 hours.
We then proceeded to spend an embarrassing amount of down time at our internship coming up with specific scenes and lines of dialogue that we imagined would comprise a 2-hour film of Jennifer Lawrence playing a woman who invented a mop.
When someone shared Annie Mumolo's original pre-DOR draft of the screenplay on the old OB board, I downloaded it and my friend and I had a mini table-read of the first 15 pages, until either someone gave us some actual work to do or we just realized that that script wasn't worth reading even as a joke.
It's also worth pointing out that while all of this was happening he continued to refer to the film as She Made a Mop, a title that he came up with and which lives on to this very day because whenever someone in our circle of friends suggests something (a novel, a real-life event) should be turned into a movie he says "but would it be as good as She Made a Mop?", and that's always a very pertinent question to ask.
We eventually went and saw She Made a Mop at the movies, agreed that it was bad and that they should've used our draft instead.
I remembered all of this a few days ago and now I think about it constantly. It's lonely being the only person in the entire Milky Way who still remembers that at one point in human history David O. Russell was actually granted $60 million to make a movie about the invention of a mop, in which Diane Ladd dies halfway through but continues to narrate the story anyway and in which the characters all enter a TV soap opera at some point. It's lonely, but someone has to do it.
I guess what I'm trying to say with all this is that I'm still coming to terms with the fact that they never made that movie that was announced with Sandra Bullock playing the woman who created Tupperware. I was denied a lot of joy because of that.

YouTube, man. I’m looking up Jenny Nicholson videos, I come across a podcast discussing her “I didn’t like Joker” video, with a runtime of 12 hours.
12. FUCKING. HOURS!

Once on a plane and then again last week in business class where students are learning about entrepreneurship. They also watched The Founder a few weeks ago. There really aren't any good films on the topic, are there?

Like a 12 hour reaction vid to a reaction vid? From what I’m gathering, only about a third of it is dedicated to her video. But that’s still four hours. COVERING A THIRTY MINUTE VIDEO!And that still leaves eight hours! I couldn’t even hold a conversation for *1* hour.
