All the ballots have been counted and I'm currently in the process of breaking ties.
I'm thinking Monday at 9pm for the presentation but this may or may not change. I will of course let you know in advance if there's any changes to the presentation date.
As for now, feel free to make some pre-presentation predictions.

I'm gonna say the 4th best artist ever from Minnesota wins it with Purple Rain and this board is UK crazy so I'd guess The Queen Is Dead will crack the top 3 and I'm going to say the metal contingent came out big time for Ride The Lightning (after abandoning Sabbath in the 70s). I'm holding out hope for the Mats/Husker Du/early REM and Mission of Burma but a man has to be realistic - Big Star got shut out of the top 50 in the 70s for Godsakes.....I have such doubts.

Lookin' for big placements for the Replacements, several of 'em at that, and Stone Roses, and Darklands. Those are arguably my favorite albums ever....
But as the Mats would and once said, "Winners, losers, all the same, make your bet, that's my degeneration."

It’s that or after I get off work at 9pm. Definitely after 9pm! Pretty sure more people will be around to comment at that time too. Hmm ok. I’ll switch the time to 9:30 tomorrow night.

Switching things up a bit. It's a Top 51 this time since there was a 3 way tie at the bottom. #51-26 will be presented in 5s then 1 by 1 when we hit the Top 25.

A total of 174 albums received at least 1 mention an increase from the 152 from our 70s poll and 103 from the 60s.
The highest amount of appearances was 7/13 ballots from 2 albums. They placed #1 and #7.
We had 4 leaders throughout, all of them finished in the Top 5. Our winner didn't take the lead until the last ballot was counted. Different from the 70s poll where there were 5 leaders throughout voting and it extended to the Top 15. Stats on lead changes throughout voting will be presented at the end.
The minimum amount of points needed to make the Top 51 was 24 so everyone's Top 2 made the list.

Ties were broken by the usual format:
1. # of ballot appearances 2. Highest ballot ranking 3. Average ballot ranking
Our only tie was at the bottom of the list, all other ties were broken.

Proud that I single handedly got Sister on there, I had it at #5 Yeah I'm the number 6 for Flip Your Wig but didn't have Candy Apple Grey on there myself. Sister still holds up very well sounds edgy but listenable even now - fine record.

I had You're Living All Over Me at #1. My favorite rock album ever. Wish it could have been higher. Poledo should have been the sample song Didn't vote for any U2 albums this time, Achtung Baby will be near the top of my 90's list, though. They are more of a singles band for me in the 80's. Proud that I single handedly got Sister on there, I had it at #5 Yeah I'm the number 6 for Flip Your Wig but didn't have Candy Apple Grey on there myself. Sister still holds up very well sounds edgy but listenable even now - fine record. I had Flip Your Whig and Candy Apple Grey near the back end of mine and Zen Arcade in the top ten.

Vs. would freak people out even now all those years later - for American bands not much came in ahead of that one.

Yikes - pacinoyes takes a swift kick in the head - the REM, Costello and Jam were top 10 for me iirc - certainly REM and The Jam were.......glad they made it but REM's debut I would have thought was a top 10 record .......gulp.

Overall I don't love REM but I'm glad Murmur has made the cut here, really great album. Pretty cool list so far, I'll have to check a couple of these out that I don't know.

Starting the Top 25 at 10:15 so I can have a regular 5 minute interval between each album. Let's hear some Top 25 predictions.
