You all know that scene from Patch Adams with Robin Williams and Philip Seymour Hoffman arguing?
Robin: If you don't like me, just say it! Philip: I DON'T LIKE YOU!
Replace Hoffman with me and Williams with this bloated, overly pleased with itself, excessively boring piece of meandering pointlessness. It wants to be loved so much, but its characters were dull at best, and offensive at worst (what the hell was up with Cliff murdering his wife and then making him a hero all movie). Goodness, I thought that Spahn Ranch scene would never end...

The more I think about it, the more I see this as Tarantino's Patch Adams. They're both taking real events and putting overly goofy, fairy tale spins on them, and both are terribly desperate for you to enjoy yourself and will grovel before you to do so.
The sad thing is, Patch Adams kicks the ass of OUATIH.
