Basically a gender-flipped Y: The Last Man meets elements of The Road, Leave No Trace and Children of Men:
Obviously, the optics on this will be commented upon, what with the cloud of allegations surrounding Affleck and his treatment of women in the workplace. But I am still interested in this.

excellent trailer. very interested, though it's not what I was expecting at all. I thought it was going to be more Leave no Trace and instead it looks very much like The Road.

There's no question that this will get ripped by every overly woke female film critic - sorry if that seems mean but it's true - fair or not .......now having said that, this plays into everything he does that is special as an actor:
You can tell this is slow moving piece which he needs to build his characters - he's not a 0 to 60 in 5 minutes performer which is one reason that (deserved) Oscar will never translate to stardom. He's also somewhat childlike in all his very best roles in what he projects to us which dovetails with the way he interacts with children historically and here.
I didn't mention him in the poetic American actors thread but he majorly would fit that and it looks like the context of the direction and film's visual components accentuate that here too.
I'm in....

Feels super reminiscent of Children of Men in its concept and of course full of similar vibes as The Last of Us and The Road ... my interest has at least been piqued.
