On a scale of 0 to 5 πππ
One of the most bizarre trailers I've seen in a while + sick and tired of remakes but I'm still willing to give that movie a tiny chance, so it's a 2 for me.

I'm assuming this is still out of 10 and you're assuming nobody in their right mind would go any higher.

A 4 on this scale tbh.
It doesn't look good but I sure as hell want to see it!

I enjoy many of the songs, and before the trailer I was curious how they were going to bring the cats to life if it wasn't just going to be actors in cat costumes. After the trailer though, I don't know if I can stand watching the way the "cats" look for two hours or so. They really just are too disturbing for me that I don't know if I could sit through a whole movie watching nothing but them, I don't even know that the songs or the possibility of hate watching it would be enough. So for now my anticipation is at 1. Maybe if I ever get used to what they look like it will go up.

I don't know. I'm thinking they could rename it Easter bunnies and make a funnier movie.

Same as the anticipation I had for Serenity. Meaning, very high.

I'm not gonna contribute money to it, but I might check it out down the line out of sheer morbid curiosity.

Honestly? 10 out 5. Okay so the plan is
-opening night of cats, sneak in by buying tix to a different movie (avoid contributing money to the death of art)
-pop an edible or an acid 1 and a half hour earlier so it kicks in as the movie starts and my trip progresses with the movie
-meet god

Reasons for wanting to see it:
-The wtf factor. I like films that are bizarre in their oddity, even if it's bizarre in a bad way. I get that this seems bizarre in the Emoji Movie way, just make it that ridiculous and let it pass for being an actual thing but still... it is one reason to see it, even if it can be seen as an non-legitimate reason by some measure of reasoning.
-The lack of a Hathaway.
-Kinda interested in seeing Taylor Swift acting for first time.
-Some choreography and songs. I bet the dance training will keep me wondering how they did it and such...... and the type of training it must've taken, I like wondering about stuff like that... same thing like when I wonder about the art behind figure skating and so.
-Some good performances could maybe be expected. Give us something like Vikander in The Danish Girl or Mirren in Elizabeth I and it's a good reason to think good performances will come out of this. This guy did direct both of those. But on the flip side, I'm not feeling anyone in the trailer. Not even respected actors like Dench and McKellen. Only one I'm slightly feeling is Hudson, but maybe it's just for those diva scenes.
-Can't be as bad as Les Miserables.
Reasons for not wanting to see it:
-By the director of Les Miserables.
-It is 15+ dollars.....for a movie that could be that bad.
-It looks way too CGI wild. I'm not anti-CGI as a regular thing, just saying this seems to give me mix vibes of King Kong and West Side Story. A little bit of both. Kinda kitschy on the side of West Side Story in that death of that period of Hollywood thing, yet probably needs at least a minute or two on a natural set.
Let's say.... 2. But 3 if I can see it for free.

Finally saw some screenshots. The CG cat augmentation honestly scared me and looked grotesque, it was like an uncanny valley effect . No way am I seeing this.

Honestly, I'm probably going to go see it twice in the cinema, which will be only the third time I have done that.
