I'm terrible at this, but here it goes.
Flies - I think The Aeronauts, but some people guessed The Goldfinch. Lies - The Good Liar, but it might be too on the nose. Dies - Someone guessed The Goldfinch for this too. Makes sense. Sings - I said Cats, but Judy was definitely the better guess. Roars - My guess is Ford v. Ferrari, but someone guessed A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood because of one of the puppets being a tiger. Some Get Paid - Uncut Gems? Some Get Money - Hustlers? Raw - ? Cooked - Jojo Rabbit? Birds gif - The Goldfinch? Ad Astra?

Looks like all the films are up. (I thought there was always a press conference. I'm glad there wasn't this year though.)

Leaving aside stuff I'm hugely hyped for all year so far, like Joker and Jo Jo Rabbit, the things I'm more quietly excited to hear word on are:
Knives Out Bad Education Frankie (purey for Marisa) Greed Marriage Story The Laundromat True History of the Kelly Gang

Here's a helpful list that specifies what kind of premiere each film is.

I thought Blackbird and Radioactive would be 2020 releases, nice to see them here! And Jojo Rabbit being a world premiere means it's not going to Venice and Telluride, right?

Yes, Jojo Rabbit is only going to Toronto. That seems sort of strange, but Green Book only went there last year, so it's not necessarily a bad sign.

Joaquin Phoenix to receive Actor Award at Inaugural Tribute Gala at TIFF.
Man, they're really making a run at it, aren't they?

Joaquin Phoenix to receive Actor Award at Inaugural Tribute Gala at TIFF. Man, they're really making a run at it, aren't they? I bet the Hollywood Film Awards are already drooling right now at all the possible money they might make this year. Not that a person can't even "win" more than one of these, but just looking at the "winners" from 2013-2018, because for some reason they don't list anything else besides 2002, 1997, and 1998, I see that Phoenix has never been honored yet there, so I could definitely see Warner Brothers shelling out some money this year for it if Phoenix actually agreed to it. (Okay since I looked up whether Streep had "won" at their site, I see the last time he "won" was back in 2005, so he might agree to do it.) De Niro, Jackman, Murphy, and Sandler have all been honored there in the past 5 years, so I don't know if they would go with someone else besides those four if Warner Brothers or Phoenix passed. I could see Netflix maybe going for another prize for Marriage Story like Best Screenwriter or Best Ensemble, and maybe picking something up for The Irishman and a few of their other films too, and not buying it for Driver unless they felt the race was really going to be close between him and another person. Although they only went in on one prize last year for Roma, but Roma didn't really need it except for more exposure for Yalitza Aparicio who "won" the New Hollywood Award. Streep, another acting award recipient at TIFF, has never been honored at the HFAs, can't believe I actually searched their actual website to find out, but it's not like she really needed the help to get the nomination or win. So I bet Netflix would rather spend their money elsewhere. Sorry I know this is the TIFF thread, but there's not really a whole lot going on right now until the fall festivals actually happen, but this would be my guesses. Hollywood Career Achievement Award - Maybe Antonio Banderas or maybe he's honored with the Hollywood Actor Award instead. Hollywood Actor Award - I could see someone from WB (Phoenix, Norton, or Jordan) or maybe someone from Sony (DiCaprio or Pitt). Don't know how much new Fox will spend this year for campaigning, but Damon also makes sense. Hollywood Actress Award - For some reason I see Cynthia Erivo being honored with this, or one of the breakout awards. If not her, I could see Lionsgate buying this for Theron.
