Liar, liar pants on fire . Not that it fucking matters what name you use on other. boards. Nobody really gives a shit except you, and it doesn't make you a better human being. But the hypocrisy....oy! You are one sad, pathetic old loser, who spends entirely too much time thinking about me and what I'm doing. Get on with your business of being a so-called "acting expert", and stop wasting both our (and everyone else's) time antagonising me. It's boring now. You are boring now. You can't go one day without trying to take a shot at the Champ. Take a break. It'll be good for everyone.

I really live rent free in you and Good Troll's head don't I. Gotta take friends where you can get 'em, I guess. I've got one handle on goldderby you clown, as I do on any site I might post on. I literally imagine you losers "Pm-ing" each other back and forth to exchange info to "expose" me . Like anyone other that you two obsessed-with-me jokers give a damn. Ooh, he posted on a different site....with a different name. See guys, look at him, he'evil. Pupdurcs posts on other sites and doesn't go by Pupdurcs on them. Stop this guyyyyyy . The desperation and ridiculousness you guys go through just for 'lil old me, never ceases to astonish me. LOL, and so says the guy that got chased off Goldderby because of how much of a joke he became with his ridiculous stanning and epic meltdowns I'm no more obsessed with you than you are with me. I know that you accuse everybody on every forum that ever calls you out on your BS of being me. That's how deep the scars cut for you when it comes to me. And I'm here to cut them even deeper by continuing to expose you for the blithering delusional idiot that you are. Grab some , folks. More Pup Scrud meltdowns incoming.

Oh, and congratulations. That's an other thread you've ruined thanks to your insane obsession with me (with an assist from your fellow Pupdurcs obsessive). Well done! The thread wouldn't be "ruined" if you responded to my well-reasoned post that stumped you. And don't pretend like you're not reading all of my posts the second I make them Oh, that's interesting. I guess that now means Tom Hanks > Denzel Washington, contrary to your espousal.
After all...
1. Hanks > Washington in Body of Work (much better regarded filmography with much more acclaimed directors)
2. Hanks > Washington in audience support (Hanks is perhaps top 5 all time as a movie star; definitely top 10. Washington is not even in the top 20)
It's not like Hanks even trails Washington that very much in terms of awards. He's got 2 Lead Oscars, more BAFTA nominations, and more top critics awards despite being 2 years younger. That's far less of a difference than that between Winslet and Kidman. Winslet has 3 more Oscar nominations, more BAFTA nominations, and more top critics wins, despite being 8 years younger.
I guess that's settled then. Kidman > Winslet. And Hanks > Washington. But now that I think about it, I don't really know if Kidman has a better body of work than Winslet. I'd say they're about even there. So Kidman only really beats Winslet in audience support for having been the bigger star... which was primarily because she was married to the biggest movie star of all time.

February 27, 2017 - same sh it.........different year.....different board..........different name ....gee I wonder who they hated "hearing it" from? Emphasis mine.
Imagine what Good God could have done with this stuff......
**********************************************************************************************************************
This one stings, because Denzel is one of the all-time greats. As much as some people here hate hearing it, history may well judge him as the greatest, full stop.
While Denzel is delivering 14 page monologues, and making it look like the easiest thing in the world (it isn’t), covering the emotional gamut from A-Z (charming, funny, sad, unlikable, likable etc)….it’s a gut punch. As much as people are decrying the twitter mob, it’s very obvious that Denzel was the whom the general public felt deserved it this year.

Your life must be so interesting. Frantically searching through posts I made on another site in years gone by to dredge up the kind of quotes I'd happily say on this site anyway (that also have zero to do with this thread). I really don't think you appreclate how much of a basement dwelling weirdo you are coming across as at the moment (even to some who like and respect you, this must be hard to see). Like Comic Book Guy on The Simpsons lacking in social intelligence. The old Pac would have never been this dopey. He would never have let people see him act this way. I miss that guy. Who had self-awareness. Come back to us...please I know I said I enjoyed watching you torpedo your hard earned reputation somewhat with these bizarre antics, but I still have some hope that you can return to being a normal person again.

Winslet, for me. Kidman is very game and willing to try all sorts of things, but I never feel like she's taken over a performance and just commanded the screen with an emotional intensity like Winslet has at her best. Winslet at her least inspired can seem too self-conscious and detached, but at her best she's volcanic, which I could never describe Kidman as. And that's a big demerit. All of my favorite lead female acting performances are volcanic (Huppert in The Piano Teacher, Bjork in DiTD, Leigh in Streetcar, etc.). Kidman can be subtle, but it's too mincing; she doesn't integrate it into a grand, bold effect.

Winslet is a much better actress, she could portray a lady or tramp, a universitarian or a proletarian.- She was never a box office champion. Except Titanic almost all her movie floped badly, while Kidman has some hits at the Box Office.- Winslet peak of her career was when she was during her relationship with Sam Mendes (2001-2011). She has to raise 3 children from 3 different fathers, she lives in UK. So clearly she has more important issues than films right now. When she get older, she could be the next Maggie Smith.-

TylerDeneuve Winslet - It seems like I'm always bashing Kidman - I really don't have a problem with her actual work but post--Bll1 all her "peers" - English speaking actresses post-50 have done something acting wise that imo she can't match - and BLL1 was great and a big deal - but to me only The Northman (a movie I don't even like and she is not in much) was great work......what's odd is Kidman didn't really get a "victory lap" after BLL much which is kind of unfair: Winslet Mare of Easttown, Blanchett Tar and Mrs. America (at least, more), Swinton in several things, Weisz in Dead Ringers and The Favourite, Moore in several things..........Olivia Colman applies too as she is closer to Kidman's age than Winslet but not her era so much.....Toni Colette also maybe ......all uncorked new peaks ..........
I will always get when people say Kidman is one of the best actresess of her generation - but "the" GOAT is just wacky to me ....... her peak work to me is Birth (2004), To Die For (1995) and Bll 1 (2017) .......she doesn't have to keep "being great" - but the people in her general orbit sure have been great a lot post 2017 in ways she lately has not been imo.........not yet anyway Winslet' 2024 could be a big one with Lee and The Palace......but Lee's reviews aren't great......if Winslet can get a nod for that, that's number 8 at pre-50 years old.....that's history making stuff .......if.......so would a 3rd Emmy.......although I think the Emmy will be Blanchett's depending on release dates yadda yadda......

Holy shit. I'm glad to see some things never change. Winslet vs Kidman stan battles have been going on on Oscar Buzz since 2006.
And when I say it's been going on since 2006.... that doesn't mean it wasn't going on in 2010. and 2014. Was that when it became Movie Awards? And then moving to MAR... that still hasn't changed. Not in 2020. Or 2024.
At least the DeNiro vs Pacino battles stopped. I was on Best and Worst (2003 and 2004) when it was the #1 board on IMDB. The DeNiro fanboys were really aggressive towards Pacino, they didn't like the thought of Pacino being better than DeNiro who was clearly dog #1 in their eyes. I guess the Pacino fanboys were more anti-DeNiro than anything. But..... that war has stopped. It seems like most people now like both. If Pacino maybe even overtakes DeNiro now.

movie-awards-redux.freeforums.net/post/129953Well... you know I hear some silly shit too. Remember old BreakfastWithDeGenerasGotti whatever his name is said Branagh was better than Olivier? I never forgave him for that insult to my permanent IQ rating. And I even like Branagh..... but he's been really good in film like what??? 2.... 3 times? How did I even miss Death on a Nile or A Haunting in Venice? How many times Olivier... 12? 13? That list is solid. -In what world is George C. Scott above Peter Sellers? They're both great in Strangelove, but Sellers has been great more times, and he was better in Strangelove. -I don't get Robin Williams above Bogart. I love the cuddly little Smoochy, but Bogart is one of a kind. There's no equal. Cagney is not even an equal. They're not really the same actors anyways. -Would you have Lemmon, Burton, and Clift that high? I mean.... I don't usually see them as distinct, but there's at least 6 great performances among the trio for sure tho. Just didn't expect to see them so high.... don't generally hear those mentioned much here. -Surprised Denzel is that high. I thought people here usually don't like his movies, but conversely Im surprised DiCaprio is so low, because I'm sure he destroys Denzel in a one-on-one poll..... DiCaprio fanboys are....really aggressive and they praise him for choosing movies with Tarantino, Nolan, and Scorsese while Denzel is just basically selling himself to his legions who eat him up each time. Maybe we can compare Denzelites vs Swifties. A total body count... who wins? Maybe we need a 2024 redo at the end of it all?

Interesting that a thread about Kate Winslet and Nicole Kidman has suddenly, randomly veered into a discussion on how much this board supposedly loves Al Pacino ( and some other actors) and no one is calling this out and how it came about. Damn, I love double standards and hypocrisy If I make one mention of Denzel though, it's too much (for a few) and I need to chill with that. It's why I'll never stop.

Kidmans filmography is slightly more interesting to me but Winslet by far and I find Winslet as a performer to be far more captivating, nuanced, consistent, and open (emotionally).

Oh my gosh, Kidman is losing popularity contest polls to other actresses on the world famous Movie Awards Redux that are currently more popular than her on this board . Whatever will this poor woman do? She's clearly failed in life now. She's probably ready to commit suicide now like her Virgina Woolf character I guess she'll have to be satisfied with consolation prizes like receiving all-time great accolades like the AFI Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024 ...which Winslet, Moore and Blanchett ( or any actress in or near her generation) have yet to be offered. And may never be offered. But they'll probably be much, much happier knowing they once beat Kidman in a poll on this forum, while Kidman collects the greatest single accolade the American Film Industry can offer.

Btw - I never really knew this Winslet / "Ned Rocknroll" story.......this is kind of hilarious .......like I would do this........I'm a little mad I didn't think of it tbh ........ “His birth name is Abel Smith. And as time went by and Ned became Ned — who is quite an original personality — he just decided at one point in his life to just change his name to Rocknroll. Ned Rocknroll. So when I met him, his name was Ned Rocknroll. This is completely true,” the Avatar sequels star told host Jimmy Kimmel. “When he changed his name to Rocknroll, I don’t think he had anticipated what might happen if he should have a girlfriend whose name was Kate Winslet and who was quite well-known and therefore the press might kind of not react so well to the fact that she had this boyfriend called then Rocknroll. So, it was a little tricky.”
“I got to the point where I’m like, you know, I’m filling in doctors’ forms,” Winslet continued, “and it says ‘mother’s name’ and ‘father’s name’, and I’m like, ‘Honey… are we going to keep going?’ And he’s like, ‘Yeah, you’re right. I’ll just change it back.’ So, he changed it back. uproxx.com/tv/kate-winslet-husband-ned-rocknroll/
