It looks like Untitled Noah Baumbach Project has finally gotten a title. (Thanks Dirk.) Here's its page on Fandango. Coming out on December 6th which lends more credibility to UNBP now being Marriage Story. I hope this doesn't end up disappointing because I feel like the hype has been through the roof for this. Stuff like this from Screen Daily today but only everywhere,

So on December 6th we'll find out exactly why Laura Dern is getting an Oscar.

This article made me even more excited for this movie. I love Baumbach, so I'm alway eager to watch something new from him. But knowing that this could be his awards breakout, and that it's super personal to him (the same way Frances Ha was so personal to Gerwig, and that's what made it so great) and not just another Baumbach feature... I can't wait.

I love when Baumbach gets personal. Squid and the Whale is one of my favorite movies of the 2000s (scratch that, one of my favorite movies ever). Just watched it again the other day and it still cuts right to the funnybone.

I believe this is the only film to do all four big fall fests. Hope it does well since it's going to be an awkward season if it doesn't, lol. ETA: I never trust these festival directors anymore, but I'll include what Kent Jones said about the film anyways from this Indiewire article.

So, even if it won't premier in that fest, seems NYFF gets the ball rolling.

I guess Davis means that Dern and Alda have a great chance to win, but I haven't heard much about any of the supporting actors since it got a title and was announced to going to all the big fall festivals. Of course, before that Dern had a lot of buzz, but interesting that the focus has been on Johansson and Driver.

Looks like the BSA category could be full of old dogs this year: Alda, Hopkins, Dafoe, Pacino, Pesci, Hanks, Lithgow...

Solid teasers (Driver especially looks good) but I need to see some Dern and Alda.

Looks good but....tbh I posted yesterday about the documentary Streetwise and how that (classic film) sort of makes Hollywood "family dramas" look like the BS they are.......this fits into that "BS they are" by comparison actually.
But still that's an unfair comparison and I'm hoping to see more open wounds in the next trailer. I'm sure I will ......

Looks quite good. I'm a fan of when Bambauch tries to write "odd relationships", this looks no different. Driver in particular looks fantastic.

ScarJo's jewish haircut/style in some of those scenes is funny.
Baumbach is decent. I like social oriented films. Like Mike Leigh, Whit Stillman, Eric Rohmer, etc.

This basically seems like The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby if it were actually good. Really liked the dual teasers. Feels like it isn't trying to make us take a side.

Only seen one Baumbach film (which I liked by the way), but this looks like it could be great. Driver looks very strong and I think this should (finally) be a great role for Scarlett again, which plays to her strengths.

Looks pretty solid. The idea of the "double" teaser is excellent.
I'd love to see some Dern, Alda or Liotta.

Can't believe my brazilian self will be able to watch all these movies this year already! And I won't even have to wait for leaks and etc. By early december, I will have already seen the new Scorsese and the new Baumbach, two of the hottest tickets of the season that would only come out here by february/march. And they still say Netflix is killing cinema...
