Probably one of the most controversial Oscar Critics/Buzzers. My beloved Sasha Stone, my twitter friend (or a kind of), has interesting point of views. Not just in films, but about politics, and about Oscar Critics, she for example said that US needs more africanamerican film critics. She said that the male white critics that don't understand a Wrinkle in Time praised Green Book.-

That group of "critics" - some of whom I even like sometimes too - are basically significantly lesser movie fans imo than people on this board - which either says this board is kinds great (it is ) or they fail at their roles imo despite good intentions (they do) - Jeff Wells, Sasha Stone, Tom O'Neil, Anne Thompson, Pete Hammond have never said anything about film that I can think of that enlightened me to look at movies a different way. But like I said sometimes they are all part the whole conversation on movies, I just don't take any of them that seriously.

Pretty decent Oscar prognosticator. That’s about it.

I think she constantly wins the oscar bloggers predictions, right ?
I read her from time to time, I like her perspective on the whole oscar thing and how translate it into wider subjects but there's always that moment when she becomes kind of insufferable with all her liberal dreams.

Like everyone else, she has her opinions and she's entitled to them; but she occasionally loses the run of herself and comes across as petty, childish and unreasonable, just like a lot of people who spend too much time telling people what they think on the internet.

Yes, she got in hot water again for some of her recent comments, some of them still about Green Book. This is pretty ironic considering her brand when she started out was one of those "woke" critics that she's criticizing. There was also a tweet that went viral, but that she deleted where it was essentially about women who are in abusive relationships are at fault for not leaving because she has experience with abusive relationships and got out, therefore any woman should be able to. It was right after the latest Max Landis stuff came out again. Rightfully she got blasted for that. Plus, the story she tweeted her comments about were about Landis also raping women, so she was also equating being in an abusive relationship with rape. Ugh, I know she's showed her true colors before like throwing a hissy fit, I think after Inarritu's first win, about the streak of non-Americans winning Best Director, or the fact that she went after Jennifer Lawrence and I believe other attractive actresses, because she believes they only won because of their sex appeal, but now she doesn't really hide it anymore as she used to.
