TDK is pretty reactionary in several ways. 1) On a fundamental level TDK is about order vs chaos and lands firmly on the side of order. 2) Right wing themes include hierarchy, virtue, honor, justice, social order, establishment, sacrifice, great-man, etc. 3) Some commentators at the time read it as an allegory for the war on terror (Batman:Bush as Joker:Islamic terror). War on terror isn't a right wing thing. It just got started by a Republican president. If Gore had been elected he would do most of the same things. |

Neither capitalism nor socialism is particularly right wing lol. Capitalism is only associated with the right in Western countries because of post-war fusionism and opposition to the Soviet Union. Captialism arguably does more to destroy the social order than socialism. |
