Hasn't Pattinson already been confirmed for this?
In any case, I think he's much more suited to the role. Hoult would make a fantastic Dick Greyson, though.

Hasn't Pattinson already been confirmed for this? I don't think so - the link I posted is from 4 hours ago. The role is still up for grabs.

While I think they're both very good, I don't feel particularly inspired by either of them as an option.
Honestly, I just wish we could wait 15 years before we had another version of Batman.

Pattinson.Slightly stronger actor. Who do you think is hotter? Hoult, if I'm honest.Pattinson has never really done it for me.Aaron Taylor Johnson is better looking than both of them,he would've been my pick.

One of the things that made the Bale/Nolan films work is they were made at a time when Bale had just played a psychopath great on film in American Psycho (which is what Batman is too actually) and Nolan had just directed a revenge story great on film (Memento) which is what Batman is on some level as a piece.
Once you remove that level of interest - what can the filmmaker and actor "bring" to the piece..........it's just a matter of who do you want to play it who is better guess. Pattinson is doing the more interesting stuff and we maybe haven't seen the best of it yet - and Hoult would have to go a long way to get a Good Time level performance. Now, if you don't think acting matters in a piece like Batman now ........well you might be right too. But it did at one time.........sigh.......

Pattinson by far.
I think he’ll make a great Batman. He’s tremendously talented. My buddies hate the casting, but I think he’ll turn in a great performance. I love Reeves too. He’s 4/4 on great movies thus far (excluding that 1996 movie he made, which I haven’t seen).

I think Hoult is a better actor and unlike many people here, I don't think of Pattinson as some kind of next great thespian - he's mostly just OK. That said, for some reason, I think his style and physical appearance fits the character more. I don't know. I'm definitely intrigued by his casting.
