Weirdly we don't have a sort of general thread for this (lots of candidate specific ones and issue specific ones), so I figured it would be good to just set it up - I'll throw out a bunch of stuff and maybe it will be a good thread to update and chime in over the next a million months.
How are you feeling based on your side of the aisle right now? Close race either way right because Trump ain't losing his base........
Do the Dems need to impeach or should they avoid it at all costs?
Trump needs to win Florida and 2 of these 3 : Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania (I am giving him Ohio) - agree or disagree?
Social issues are breaking who's way - and does it even matter? Economy? Foreign policy?
Who's the real contenders on the Dem - side - Biden, Bernie, Harris and .............? I don't think Mayor Pete is really a player but he campaigns well .......
The last 3 Democratic candidates to win an election - Carter, Clinton, Obama were not "turn the clock back" candidates like Biden is (so far at least) - is he a mistake?

I don't see him winning any of Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin again... Are you "giving" him Iowa and NC along with Ohio?

Arizona as a "cusp" state over NC? Hm... I think Georgia might be one to watch, particularly after the passing of that draconian abortion bill. I think Democrats will really be able to rally behind that one, particularly with college-educated women in the Atlanta suburbs.

Hard to really say, I think Trump wins Florida if it's Sanders as the Democratic candidate. I don't think Sanders is as popular in the South as he is in the North.
Though Sanders is a threat in the North. I can see Sanders getting Wisconsin and Michigan, but primaries showed Pennsylvania favored Clinton over Sanders. Pennsylvania has lots of and lots of small industrial dots - and I think they're mostly still behind Trump. Everything is guesswork of course. We won't have any definite answers, and I'm not ruling the Democrats out in those key industrial states.
Certain rising yuppie oriented cities like Salt Lake City, Austin, some North Carolina cities, Atlanta, Dallas, and Nashville could offer some votes for the Democrats (yuppies are more Democratic), but it'll be hard to flip the entire state to Democratic.
You may wonder if Virginia might flip to Republican. The areas that are more influenced by Washington DC and surrounding areas easily favors a Democrat at all costs (Northern Virginia), but Virginia has lots of small towns and some areas resembling more the blue collar of the nearby states. I think Virginia was always more of a Clinton state than a Sanders state though - she wiped her ass with him in the primaries.

I think Biden’s poll numbers will start dropping the more he opens his mouth and once more people recognize his horrible past judgement and policy positions.
Harris and Pete would lose against Trump. I think Biden would too, but if he makes it past the primaries and becomes the nominee, I’d give him a better chance to win than those two.

You Bernie fangirls will say anything. Where did I bring up Bernie? You didn't but it's obvious what you're doing. Do yourself a favour and don't rely on people. People let you down in the end. Principles are much more worthwile.

Like making an educated guess that Biden will face plant just like he’s done in his previous runs? Only thing he has going for him is being associated with the Obama presidency, which is looked at in veeeeery positive light for some reason. That’s not enough.

As long as the market stays up, he wins again. Republicans will never sign off on impeachment.

As long as the market stays up, he wins again. Republicans will never sign off on impeachment. The market will almost certainly collapse but that won't convince the Trump fanatics of anything. Zealotry will make you defend any position. Obama had his zealots along with Clinton, Bush, Reagan and so on.

He's actually the only candidate along with Gabbard that can win and his gaffs won't mean shite. It all depends on the swing states and how satisfied they are with Trump.

There are other candidates that’d fare better in the rust belt than Biden. Trump could and would go after his free trade policy, leading to a big blow in Bidens chances in those states.
