The Venice-winning film will get a summer release in the U.S.
This bums me out, as IFC is a terrible awards campaigner and this is one of my most anticipated films of the year. Still, glad to hear it's actually secured a distributor. Hopefully the backlash against female directors getting snubbed this year might work in Kent's favor.

Every Venice review left me uninterested (it sounded like misery porn of the worst kind), but this was a decent trailer. I'll keep my eyes open, and maybe give it a whirl.

I'm not sure how good of a writer Kent is - I like The Babadook until the very last scene where it's too literal - but how it progressed was sort of repetitive and didn't move forward, still the visual style carried the momentum of it.
You sort of see that here too - even the trailer repeats - but she's really something in how she frames shots and can create dread with very little to play off. There's like 5 or 6 great films this trailer evokes, including the opening of Fiorile by the Taviani's which is one of my faves.
