From the actors listed I'd say Joaquin Phoenix and Michael Fassbender are the two best. But there are certain other actors I'd say are on par or even better than those two, most notably Tadanobu Asano, Matthias Schoenaerts, and Lee Jung-jae.

Very very powerful list. I voted for Leo but I could have voted at least half of them.

Another tough poll. A lot of great choices, but I went with perhaps the most obvious ones DiCaprio, Phoenix, and Ledger.

yet again, inferior to the ladies by a wide margin. But you can't go wrong with Phoenix / Hardy / Isaac. DiCaprio and Bale are probably the two most overrated performers working.

Went with Bale and Fassbender. Unlike the other ones I think this is pretty equal with the actresses.

Very tough choice. I like Damon, Phoenix, Murphy, McAvoy, Bale, and Cumberbatch. If I had to single one out? I'd say Romain Duris should be on here too!

Used to be very good. I haven't liked him a lot in anything for a good few years now. I think his powers may have gone with his hairline.

1. Joaquin Phoenix - Best filmography by far, and amazingly consistent. Never seen him given a bad performance. The Master is the second best performance (and the single best film) in this bunch.
2. Casey Affleck - Horrible publicity aside, consistent good work. Jesse James is one of the GOAT and his collaborations with Lowery are all brilliant.
3. Jude Law - Also quite consistent from what I've seen. Watchable even in shit/dull films (e.g. Enemy at the Gates, The Holiday, Hugo etc.), and when he's got decent material to work with he knocks it out of the park (Ripley, Road to Perdition etc.).
HM: Joel Edgerton - Haven't seen enough of him, but Loving is the single best performance in this bunch. That's enough to put him on top in my book.

Daniel Brühl and he isn't on the list. Oscar Isaac wasn't born in 1980

No surprises from me. I went with the "BIG 3" of that generation.
1. Leo 2. Phoenix 3. Bale
Also, I want to buy a beer for whoever voted for Patrick Wilson haha. He might not be the best actor around but damn I loved him in Little Children, Watchmen, The A Team & Stretch. Such an underrated actor imo.

Lol. 1974 clearly rules from this decade. Other than the golden trifecta of Bale, Phoenix & Leo, so proud to see that so many of my favorites actors, in general, are from this, my own decade! Hardy, Cillian, and so many more!
