I remember when Rooney Mara was attached to this. Then Michelle Williams. Been waiting years and years so...hopefully this time it's for real.

I was kind of sad upon reading the news that Cotillard left that women action project "355" (not that I give a shit about it, I just wanted to see her in it), but then this gets announced! This is a much better choice, you done good, Marion! This has been in development for so long - can't wait to finally see it.

I'm really excited about this! I wanted to see Driver and Williams work together, but I also really want to see him work with Cotillard. I love both actresses, but I feel like Cotillard needed this more right now if that makes sense.
I know Two Days, One Night and The Immigrant were only 5 years ago, but since that time she's been in Assassin's Creed which bombed, and then mostly other forgettable projects. On the other hand, during that time frame, Williams was runner-up for the Oscar, starred in two big hits at the box office, got a few nominations and sympathy for her salary situation compared to her co-stars in All the Money in the World, and now has been earning raves for Fosse/Verdon. Plus, I think her upcoming projects look more promising as well.

Can't stand Carax' work but La Cotillard is always a pleasure to watch.

It’s slowly falling apart after the enormous buzz the project had a couple of years ago at Cannes, first Fan Bing Bing disappeared from earth, then Cruz saying wasn’t sure anymore and now this... bad luck but also they were just showing off the deal they got. Still coming together

Wish Mara was still on board. It's not like she's filming anything soon. But I'm happy for Cotillard, she deserves to be in something at least promising.

Yeah, I had no idea that Mara wasn't attached to this anymore, and I never even heard about Williams and Rihanna (what) being tapped to replace her either. Kind of odd (and frustrating) that she's taking such a long break; she hasn't filmed anything since 2017. I wish she hadn't quit Vox Lux either.
Glad that Marion is doing this, though. It's been a while since she's been in something that turned out well, so hopefully this puts her back on track. I agree with Morton that she'll benefit from this more than Williams would.

Oh honey, we all need more Cotillard in our lives but she needs roles that are worthy of her talents.

What do you think, is this gonna be good? The producer and the actors are good but I don't know the director.

I think pacinoyes said that Driver seems to be smarter than some of his peers by following the steps of Dustin Hoffman rather than Pacino or De Niro, so this might be his Lenny I guess?
