Figured we needed this for the big night, and I know some on letterboxd have already seen it. I won’t be done until after 1 AM, so I’ll be abstaining from the Internet ‘til then.
Remember: SPOILER. TAGS!

I’ve already gotten spoiled that Ant-Man indeed flies up Thanos’ asshole and expands into Giant Man and that’s how they defeat him.

I’ve seen it......twice. The first was by my own accord and the second was with latecomers. 😒😛
Brilliant send off in the grand scheme of things, and I really liked the character driven narrative that fueled a big portion of the film. Plenty of quality action (especially in IMAX.....try and watch this in IMAX if you can) but the performances were also top notch. RDJ transports back to his superb ZODIAC days at certain points; one of his best turns for me. The Russo Brothers sure do know how to craft an absorbing story alongside seamlessly coherent and thrilling set pieces.

Waiting for the post credits. Oh my god, I’m on such a high!
EDIT: Ok. There’s no post credits clip. That’s fitting, though.

I am curious to see how my opinion on this one will develop over time, but I am immediately inclined to say that it leans towards one of the best things this franchise has done. Will write more about it soon but that’s the gist of where I stand. It suffers from a lot of the same flaws that these movies tend to, and I mean it was inherently never gonna be perfect I’d say, but I was very impressed/pleased with a lot of the choices they made and that, despite how much of it is expected, it finds moments where it can be subversive too (even if it’s in a bit of a safe way). In general, seeing this was a blast, that much I can say for sure.

Oh wow! Maybe it's because I haven't really watched any of the other films until I joined A-List that I'm not as connected to it. Not that I thought it was terrible or anything because I did enjoy it, but I guess I still didn't love it as much as the three posters who commented right before I commented did. At first I enjoyed the ending, but then when I drove home, something felt off. Then, when I got home and read other reveiws, I was like, "oh yeah, that's what feels weird." I've seen several people say that they should have killed off Steve and had Tony be the one to live, which I totally agree with. I would have been okay with Tony dying, but the ending for Steve just seemed totally out of character for him. They were given the warning not to mess with anything in the past, and yet he does that anyways but doesn't care about helping Bucky while he's changing the past.
Also I'm still a bit miffed that Natasha didn't get a big sendoff either. I know she's got her own movie coming out, but they could have done a duel memorial thing at the end for both her and Tony. That whole girl power moment scene pissed me off even more after they disrespected Natasha like that. In theory I could have enjoyed the girl power moment if I didn't feel it was just lip service since Captain Marvel barely had anything to do, and Valkyrie is barely in the film either. I still enjoyed it though, but there were some major flaws for me.

Infinity War and Endgame will have different kind of admirers and some mutual ones too. I liked them both but i prefer Endgame a bit more coz i love the little things and this movie is full of little things that Marvel had planted all these years. So people who have invested their time in this franchise and traveled with these characters (like me) gets the best experience.
The movie takes some time to get to the proceedings and it's understandable after what has happened in the previous film. It's not like the first hour hasn't had any action. It did but the action was abrupt with no impact. So people who are new to the franchise and expect tons of action with humor will be disappointed. Also some might get confused with the plot and may feel underwhelmed due to a certain overused cinematic 'trope' was used to resolve the plot.
But once a 'rat' puts things in motion.. the movie gets into proceedings and it's a roller coaster of emotions from there. The last one hour is a comic nerd dream come true. I have never seen something like that on silver screen. It's fan service of the highest order but accomplished with class. All the six original avengers gets their shining moments but Endgame totally belongs to Steve and Tony, the heart and brain of the team. I laughed, shouted, amazed, shattered and almost cried but as Tony Stark said.. part of the journey is the end. So here we are.. at the end.
A truly fitting end for what is a first of it's kind and near great cinematic universe.

He's the one who started it all. He is the one who has been preparing for all this. Thanos has been on his mind for all these years. It's only fitting that he is the one who undoes the snap and he does it even knowing it could kill him.

I dearly want that shot where Cap with his broken shield stood against Thanos and his might army for my desktop wallpaper.

Meh it was just okay but I can't help but be a little bit disappointed in it. The crowd I saw it with was really into it and absolutely erupted into cheers when Cap got fat Thor's hammer. Thought that was pretty cool at least! Speaking of fat Thor. WTF was up with that?! Thought it was so fucking stupid and out of character for a GOD like Thor. I actually preferred Infinity War by quite a bit more. Some of the time travel sequences were a bit confusing to me since I missed some certain MCU films like Ant Man 2 but no biggie. And I guess I'm fine with how Cap 's story ended (even tho it was cheesy af) 6.5/10 I still respect what the Russo bros did with their Avenger films. Juggling all those characters is not easy to do.

It's been a long time since I've felt a character's death this much, but at the same time, I'm really hoping Downey takes full advantage of his now wide open schedule. If some of his huge ego died with Tony, the dude could easily maintain an incredible career going back to character actor roles.

Hope he will do a variety of roles from now on.

This movie swept me... It has its flaws but like a true epic it just washes them over and makes them irrelevant. I’ve been lukewarm on most Marvel movies but they really outdid themselves with Infinity War and Endgame. 9/10 for both.

At times this is a great film, and at times this a bloated and self-indulgent film. It does carry through that spirit of fun that has always been at the heart of this universe, but it seems so preoccupied with making its fans happy, that it just kept losing the run of itself. It's more emotional moments just didn't resonate with me at all, although the fact that the two leads that died are my two least favourite main characters in this world, might have been part of that. Still, it didn't even please me to see Iron Man die. I simply felt nothing. The visuals were all very impressive, although I don't think I saw anything that wowed me. I think Infinity War might have actually been slightly superior on this front. That final battle scene against Thanos and his army though, that was dynamite stuff for the most part. It did become hard to tell what was actually happening for a few seconds here and there, but for the most part, the action in this film was stellar stuff. I can definitely see why this is going to be beloved of Marvel superfans, but not being one of them, I was just about sufficiently entertained to not feel like I'd wasted my money. 6/10

Holy Mother of God, that was an absolute blast. Pays off 11 years and 22 films of build-up in spectacular fashion, and has plenty of exhilarating, crowd-pleasing moments, excellent action, great acting and a really solid script. It's a really poignant and bittersweet send-off to the previous Avengers; I'm going to miss those guys.
I love this film 3000. 10/10.

This was absolutely satisfying in every way I wanted it to be. Sure, it stumbled from time to time, but it was easily made up for.

I’m booked to see it again Monday (my dad loves Hulk, so he begged me to see it). Really hope the magic gets recaptured.
I feel like some of us ought to have a big round table on this movie.
