The greatest thing about the last 3 and a half years of Sting in AEW is that it makes absolutely no sense. The man's neck practically exploded in 2015 and he was already old. We all thought he was done. He should have been done!
But this run is the antithesis of everything we've grown accustomed to. He hasn't lost during this run, but I don't think anyone is upset that he hasn't "put anyone over." He's in his 60s, so theoretically, he should take it easy...he's done the exact fucking opposite. Usually with people's last match, they're supposed to go out with a loss, looking at the lights. But this is different: I think people want Sting and Darby to win. I think most people were happy to see Sting make random appearances but that turned into Sting becoming something that people look forward to on shows because the man is a lunatic in his New Jack Except I'm Not Stabbing Anyone phase. He doesn't have to do any of the crazy shit he's done during this run, but it's been so goddamn fun.
As a wrestling fan, it's awesome to see him go out on his own terms. This last run was awesome for the most part and went against everything we expect from wrestlers at his age. It's just cool to see. Wrestling needs more positive stories. Sting going out on his own terms after a disaster in 2015 is something I'm thankful for.

Anybody watching Wrestlemania 40 this weekend? I have to admit, I haven’t really followed WWE/Pro Wrestling since Stone Cold and The Rock left back in 2003, growing up during the Monday Night Wars/Attitude Era.
The Rock returning as a heel along with this Bloodline/Roman Reigns/Cody Rhodes buildup has me stoked for a Wrestlemania, which hasn’t happened in a long time. Will Cody finish his story or will Roman Reigns championship reign continue?

Great night 1! A few great matches with Rhea/Becky, Gunther/Sami, and the tag team main event being the highlights.
Main event started slow in the beginning, but gradually built up into a great story with a cliff hanger ending. Although most wrestling insiders probably figured ahead of time the Bloodline was going to win, so the odds could be stacked against Cody going into Night 2. It was great to see The Rock in the ring again on nostalgia alone, although Father Time waits for no one and you could clearly see all of his 51 years in how he moved. Didn’t help of course he’s been out of the ring for 8 years, but props to him for being able to hang with 3 of the best pro wrestlers in the world in Reigns, Rhodes, and Rollins. Took some great bumps and even gave the crowd what they wanted to see which was the Rock Bottom/People’s Elbow finisher. He’ll always have the crowd behind him even as a heel, wrestling fans just love him too much.
Looking forward to Night 2 and see if Cody can overcome the odds to defeat Roman Reigns. Great stuff so far!

Beautiful! Wow what an ending to Night 2 of Wrestlemania 40. A star studded main event affair full of storylines and history leading to a great Wrestlemania moment with Cody Rhodes fulfilling his dream of winning the WWE Universal Championship, which his Hall of Fame father, Dusty Rhodes, could never do.
Could tell the crowd appreciated their investment in him and his story finishing after 2 years. Roman Reigns was amazing as well in telling that story. Great main event!
Best matches of the night was obviously Cody vs Roman, but also AJ Styles vs LA Knight, and Bailey vs Iyo Sky. Great Wrestlemania, and if this is the beginning of the Paul “Triple H” Levesque era of WWE, maybe I’ll give Pro Wrestling another try.
Also Snoop Dogg commentating = Gold lol

I've had 3 men in their 40s text me to ask if I watched this lol. They’re around my generation haha. I thought I aged out of it, especially when WWE went young and PG which I understood, it’s good for business. But the buildup to this, Rock coming back, I knew about Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, but to follow them closely through this and see how they performed. It’s why I loved Pro Wrestling growing up. I’m not surprised it’s bringing back old fans who had left it. I know The Rock is a busy man, but I hope he can come back from time to time and be involved in storylines. If he can knock off the ring rust, him and Cody Rhodes is a great main event, obviously him vs Roman is epic. Heel or baby face, he’ll always be beloved by the WWE universe/fans. He helps bring more attention to it.

Was anybody into the wrestling magazines when they were younger? There's a big sort of warehouse near with books, movies, ddvs, VHS (not kidding) that sells really old ones for like a quarter - they are actually still fun to read ...especially like 40 years later .....especially when the magazine had to come with stuff to keep kayfabe going .............. "Ken Patera - I've beaten the GREATNESS out of Bruno Sammartino"........GTFO Patera

Too bad this didn’t kill Tony Khan. Great to see the [Not So Great] Khans have their priorities straight the night before the NFL Draft
