Love everything about her - she's the pluckiest American actress - just an excuse to use the word plucky but no other word will do. Let's take a moment to remember her Nancy Donovan who, you know, swoon is her TV triumph to me forget that Emmy for Game Change

The book, I really disliked! Maybe King's worst imo.
But I like Moore (totally should have won the Oscar for Boogie Nights) and maybe I give it a chance.

It's a good book, one of the better post-accident King novels, but eight parts seems a bit much for a book that is largely an internalized depiction of grief and coping with loss. Still, the role of Lisey is a good one for Moore, as it doesn't play to any of her weaknesses (no histrionics) and could actually play to her strengths. Still, I'm more curious who's going to play her big sister Amanda, who was my favorite character in the book.

Apple must be paying well to attract all this talent.

An otherwise great film with a hideous performance from Julianne Moore.

stephen looks like Joan Allen is playing Amanda - I haven't read the book but glad she got a big part here. Jennifer Jason Leigh - not listed on IMDb yet - is also in the cast. Not mentioned in this thread yet - Pablo Larraín is directing all 8 eps, and the peerless, brilliant Darius Khondji is DP.

Anyone watching this?
I'm four episodes in. Top notch cinematography, production design and the actors are trying their best but the story is so dull and uninviting. Hope it picks up in the four episodes and finishes well.

No, there are only a handful of directors that could motivate me to watch anything they do... He isn't one of them. Edit: My love of film is so centered around actresses.
