Jake Gyllenhaal in Nightcrawler Out of all the actors in front of mirrors scenes posted in this thread, this is certainly one of them.

I really love these mirror scenes (for some reason).

More from Polanski: the very clever dance sequence in Fearless Vampire Killers, and the great "I think I'm pregnant" moment in The Tenant
two from Carpenter: Stacy Keach's hilarious long take in Hair (from Body Bags), and the terrific last moment of Prince of Darkness
others: Moore and the haunting ending of Safe, and nobody mentioned Delon in Purple Noon???

I honestly had not considered the importance of the three-fold mirror in this film prior to pacinoyes' wonderful analysis. The name of the Mica Levi track that plays while Jackie is getting ready/working the Dallas crowd is "Vanity" - oh, how things change in an instant...

An unusual one is Brando in Reflections in THe Golden Eye - where the mirror is both reflective of his true self and not entirely believed by the actor (hece the title) while irl (in the movie) he masks it outside of relictions glimpsed.......what's interesting about the scene is how Brando's character, closeted gay - or at least latently gay uses the mirror to seduce himself.......fascinating little scene actually....... If you stop the scene moment by moment you see him both indulge and suppress within himself within seconds......pretty great acting here .........incorporating not just mannerisms of masculinity, attraction and discipline but self-loathing in a way.......apprehension certainly....... Mentioned this before but what a scene!
